I notice that if this study is added to one futures instrument, the lines show up also on other futures instruments that share the same current price levels. Is there a way to make this study apply only to charts of a specific symbol?

What you are seeing is not a function of the study. The most likely explanation is that you have the chart linked for the "Studies", which will then put the same studies (along with their respective settings) on all the charts that share that linking option.
