Sub-instances stop trading after parent locks trading

Hello,

I have multiple sub-instances on my SC. I wonder if there is a way to keep the trading active on these sub-instances while locking it for the main instance? I use Teton for my order routing.

No. This is not possible with Sub-Instances that are started using "File >> New Instance".

Those sub-instances are tied to the main instance and send the orders through that main instance. So however that main instance is setup is what the sub-instances will see. So if the main instance is locked, then the sub-instances will not be able to send orders through.

But, you can have separate installations of Sierra Chart, which are completely separate. But, if you are trying to connect to the same account, then depending on what trading service you are using, you may not be able to do this (Rithmic, in particular, does not allow for multiple connections from Sierra Chart).
