Hi, when I am trying to get a correct current week profile (which I can get if I only select one profile), but also want to have the past weeks profiles on the current chart, I run into problems since the multiple weeks profile has missing data. if I select the weeks profile and only change to "multiple Profiles" I get an incorrect current week profile for the current week, which I can not hide (read is in the way, if I add the single current week profile on the chart). see pictures. How can I get a current weeks profile and correct past weeks profiles on the same chart? Thanks for you help! https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1779964295607.png Regards, Nicolaas |

Hi John, here is your CHT, thanks for your help. I put two studies in, the single week profile studie should give the same for the current week, as the weekly profile for several weeks including the current one. but it is missing data..

We do see an odd thing with the study, where it is doing something strange when the "Time Period Type for 'Fixed Time'" is set to "Weeks" instead of "Days". Which we will have to look into. But we are a bit confused on what exactly you are wanting to accomplish. You have the "Volume Graph Period Type" set to "Multiple Profiles from Start Time to End Time". You then have the following: - Start Time: 15:30:00 - End Time: 00:00:00 So we are not sure if you want daily profiles from 15:30:00 to 00:00:00 or if you are wanting weekly profiles. Please let us know exactly what you want to see and we will tell you how to set it up to get that. Hi, As you can see in the settings, there are no changes between the two studies, except one has "One Period from most Recent Period start" (current week) selected, and the other "Multiple Profiles from Start Time to End time" for the "Volume Graph Period Type". In both cases the "Use Different Start time" is selected to "No". So the "Start time" of 15:30 in both is not applicable. I made an exact copy of the Volume profile study and only changed one setting, as mention above. If you put both on your chart, the current week is not showing the same indication. There you have the problem. I want a weekly profile, with POC, VAH, VAL for each past week and for the current week up to the last bar (current time), that is all. this should just be a weekly summery of the daily sessions (first opening till market close of each day: read not the NY sessions) I hope this helps |

In both cases the "Use Different Start time" is selected to "No". So the "Start time" of 15:30 in both is not applicable.
That is not what that Input does. It only applies when you are using a "Volume Graph Period Type" that depends on the Session Times. When using a "Volume Graph Period Type" of "Multiple Profiles from Start Time to End Time" the entered Start Time and End Time Inputs are what defines the profile. But, we are seeing something odd when the "Time Period Type for 'Fixed Time'" is set to "Weekly" for the way you had things setup. But, what you had was not correct for what you want. You want to set the following to get Weekly profiles: - Volume Graph Period Type: Multiple Profiles Based on 'Fixed Time' - Time Period Type for 'Fixed Time': Weeks - Time Period Length for 'Fixed Time': 1 For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

It is not a mistake to use: - Volume Graph Period Type: Multiple Profiles from Start Time to End Time - Time Period type for Fixed Time: Weeks - Time Period Length for 'Fixed Time': 1 It would just mean, that the profile length is weekly but it is restricted to contain volume data from the bars from the start time to the end time for each day in the week. However, in the next release there will be automatic setting of these inputs as follows when using that Volume Graph Period Type: - Time Period type for Fixed Time: Days - Time Period Length for 'Fixed Time': 1 We can change this though if it causes an issue for other users.
