Hello, I’m experiencing a strange issue and could use some help. The problem occurs with the Buy button in the Trade Window (the Sell button works fine). After completing one trade, I’m unable to enter another Buy order using the standard (non-compact) Trade Window. Instead, I only hear a “ding” sound when clicking the buy buttons. However, the same Buy buttons works normally when I switch to the Compact View of the Trade Window. I’ve tried different presets, removed all studies, and reviewed the settings, but haven’t found a solution. Do you have any idea what might be causing this or how to fix it? Thank you. |

You have us confused. Are you referring to the "Trade Window" as shown in this link: https://www.sierrachart.com/images/Trading_window.png And referring to the compact option when selecting the "C" tab at the top of that window? The reason we are confused by this is that the Compact option does not have the "Buy" and "Sell" buttons like the standard "Main" tab shows. Exactly what buttons are you using for each case? My bad, I wasn’t specific enough. The issue is with the Buy button in the trading window not working. There are Buy market button and But button. I was referring to Buy button. The Buy Market button works fine in both compact and non-compact views. It's the BUY button that doesn't work. I’ve attached a GIF showing it of. Hope that's clear enough. I click Buy Market and Sell Market in compact view, then Buy Market and Sell Market in non-compact view. After that, I click the Sell and Buy buttons in non-compact view, at the very end you can see that no position is opened when I click the Buy button in non-compact view. That's the issue I was raising. Thank you. |

The issue you are having is that you have your Order Type set as a Limit Order at a price of 0.00. The order may actually be put in, but you are not going to see it at a price of 0.00. When you select the "Buy Market" it ignores that order type and puts in a market order. AHA! Great point. Changing the bottom section to Market solved it and both Buy and Sell buttons work fine now. Thank you for your help. |
