Incorrect max open loss/profit

Recently transitioned from CQG to Teton and noticed that the max open loss/profit values appear to be incorrect. I tested both MES and ES in order to determine whether the issue might be related to symbol settings, tp/sl ticks, or contract sizes. Interestingly, with MES the values appear correct up to 6 contracts, but beyond that point the reported values become incorrect. With ES, the values appear incorrect across different contract sizes. References to “profit/loss calculation rounding error”, might explain the issue. However, I do not understand why this would occur only at specific contract sizes, and whether similar behavior could also occur when trading live. Thank you. |

We see the reason for the problem and we are working on resolving it but not sure how best we can do that because it is due to floating-point error.
