Hello I was just wondering why the calculation sometimes is different for the Value Area Levels in the market profile. I work with an TPO Tick Increment of 5, but sometimes on my Laptop the Value Area Price got a 5 Tick Difference than on my PC. Also if I ask some collogues, mostly its the same price but for some reason, lets say the todays profile in the F.US.DDH26 Future (DAX Future) is different. Any reason why? ^ I have also attached both versions. I use the same settings on both devices in sierra chart. Thanks! |

We do see some differences in the profiles between the two images, specifically in the coloring that is on top of the TPO. We think this is a Volume Profile, but we do not know for sure. The point is, that there appears to be some difference in the information between the two. You would need to look at all the chart settings that could affect this along with the study settings and any global settings that could impact this (such as the Intraday Storage Time Unit). In the end, the best option is to copy the chartbook from one system to the other, so at least you know you have the exact same chart and study settings, and then if you still see a difference it is something in a global setting between the systems, or perhaps the data, if they come from different sources.
