How to add a composite profile to a Market TPO chart

Hi I have a chart with daily TPO charts. I have two questions 1) I want a composite volume profile aligned to the far right of the chart. I've seen this done (see attached), but can't figure it out. Whenever I add a volume by price study to the chart to set up as a composite profile, the volume graph period type changes to Based on TPO Chart, how can I get around this? 2) In Sierrachart Volume by Price Studies can't be collapsed, but TPO charts can. A volume profile can be shown next to the Market TPO (that is a volume by price study based on TPO Chart). Both the VP and MP are shown side by side. Is there any way to hide the TPO without hiding the VP? Obviously this is a hack to get around the short coming that VP's can't be collapsed like in some other platforms. Thanks |

1. Refer to the following for an example of how to do this: Volume By Price Study: 30 Minute Volume Profile at End of TPO Profile Chart 2. There is no way to hide the "TPO without hiding the VP". But there also is not a way to "hide" a single TPO profile either, so we are not really sure of what you are referring to. Regarding 1, in the attached screenshot there is a grey volume profile aligned to the far right of the window. It spans 90 days. I was wondering what settings I can use to achieve this? Regarding 2, don't worry I just wanted to know if I could hide the TPO and keep the associated VP unhidden. What I really want to do is to be able to merge volume profiles, which currently can't be done in Sierra, only TPO profiles can be merged. |

I came across this post because I was trying to create a 5 day profile on the right edge of my chart. I got the answer I needed from the support response. When I saw the comment, "What I really want to do is to be able to merge volume profiles, which currently can't be done in Sierra, only TPO profiles can be merged." it got me thinking about that and came up with a work around. I use a black background chart. I changed the TPO block color and value area color to black and set it to "Draw Underneath Main Price Graph". I then set "Align Volume Profiles To TPO Profiles". That moves the volume profile to display directly over the TPO profile. Then I was able to right click and merge profiles, but only the volume profile is visible. The only problem is, if you want to split a profile you need to change the color to something that shows up on the black background because when you set "Letters/Blocks In Own Column" you are not able see the individual TPO's. I'm guessing you could do this if you use a different background color, just set the TPO colors to the same as your background
