About 1 in 30 startups, Sierra v2875 is crashing. ie. it closes and disappears off my screen. It starts up, looks normal, then within a few minutes it just disappears.

This started happening in the last few versions. Roughly since December but I don't have an exact timeline.

These are the last few messages in the logs:
2026-02-07 16:56:07.675 | HTTPS connection ID:2 to downloads.rithmic.com:443 for request ID:2 (6) | Creating socket. Using TLS 1.2.
2026-02-07 16:56:07.676 | HTTPS connection ID:2 to downloads.rithmic.com:443 for request ID:2 (6) | c_EncryptionIOBuffers memory error.
2026-02-07 16:56:07.677 | HTTPS connection ID:2 to downloads.rithmic.com:443 for request ID:2 (6) | CloseSocket call.
2026-02-07 16:56:07.677 | Rithmic Direct - DTC | HTTP response receiving connection points not completed or OK.

The only other thread I see related to this memory error is from 2022: Denali not streaming

Not sure where to start looking on resolving this.

Had it crash again, but this time without the memory error lines in the message log.

It's possible the memory error lines were caught in the first log and are relevant, but it's also possible they are unrelated noise created during a crash caused by something else entirely.

Is there a crash or debug log that can be enabled to see more details?

This is very unusual and simply would indicate an out of memory condition on your computer. Restart your computer. This is the only thing we can recommend.

Try also running Sierra Chart in safe mode:

This has happened across multiple restarts in the last two months.

Ram usage is consistently under 30%.

I haven't seen any ram usage spikes that would indicate an oom issue.

I will try safe mode.

Is there any debug logging I can use to see what might be happening right before the crashes?

We do not have any other reports of this. Really makes no sense why it is occurring. We do not observe it, and we make extreme extensive use, of this very same functionality on our servers and it works perfect handling hundreds of thousands of connections. Maybe there is a memory corruption occurring elsewhere affecting the network sockets functionality.
