Can't set Defaults on VP

I'm not quite sure when this started but I find that I can't set defaults on the drawn Volume Profile when I change settings. I should add that this only seems to be happening in an instance of Sierra I created years ago and not in the primary instance. While I haven't looked at it yet you seem to have changed the way sub-instances are created and perhaps that has something to do with it. I'm really not sure. Anyhow, I'm using version 2870. This in not a critical problem and more of an annoyance at the moment but would like to fix it. Thanks |

There have been no changes to how Sub-Instances or the Drawn Volume Profile work in a long time. Certainly nothing recently. The only change to the Sub-Instances was the ability to start a specific sub-instance, instead of having to cycle through them. Keep in mind that the Drawn Volume Profile uses a Study Collection to determine the settings for the Volume by Price profile that is drawn. This is defined in the Configuration for the Drawn Volume Profile. So if you happened to delete the Study Collections that were defined for those configurations, then this would cause it to use the default settings. Also, make sure the configurations are setup properly in general. I'll have to take another look at it over the weekend. Perhaps reset the defaults and then rebuild the settings. I'm only looking to make aesthetic changes anyway. I've been trading for about 35 years now and the lamps (eyes) aren't what they used to be. :-) Thanks John |
