Trouble setting up renko

Hi, I'm having issues setting up my renko chart. I am using the numbers bar study if this makes a difference? I have tried various settings but my renko charts look more like range bars, I'm getting a lot of sideways action. I thought the setting "new trend bar after range met/ new reversal bar when reversal amount met" would be correct, but it is not. Can you please advise me on what I am doing wrong. In general, Renko charts are going to look similar to a range chart, in that all bars are going to be the same size. We can not tell you what you are doing wrong as we do not know what you are trying to do, or what you are getting.
