We apologize for this. We do see the problem. We will resolve, but probably will not get to this until the morning.

From my perspective, there’s unfortunately still a bug in the new version2842 (see pics).

I created a new chartbook by copying several charts from another one. Afterward, I 'detached' some of those charts. Now, there is a broken chart (#27) visible that isn’t even listed in 'CW.'

Step #1: This is the image after opening the platform. A chart is shown on the right side that isn't actually listed.
Step #2: This shows the 'MEvents' spreadsheet, which disappears again just a few seconds later.

Everything works fine in version 2813.

Is this chart from a Chartbook, other than the active Chartbook?

You say the spreadsheet disappears but we can see the spreadsheet. So what exactly is the problem with it?

We are putting out a new release now. We believe these problems are resolved. We did see an obvious problem where when detaching a spreadsheet window, it did not appear. This is resolved.

When we tested your Chartbooks and spreadsheets we do not notice any issues, after the changes but we did not test them before.

In 2843, the “ghost” spreadsheet is still causing trouble.

At the beginning of the video, 2813 is open and everything is fine.
Then 2843. CW lists “MEvent.scss,” even though no chart is accessing it.
When I click on the spreadsheet, it appears for a moment and then disappears again.

I will rebuild the chartbook again in the next few days. We'll see... I'm not in a hurry.

We really do not like videos for all of these reasons:
Support Board Posting Information: Do Not Post Videos Unless Requested!

It is hard for us to understand the video because we cannot see everything clearly and everything is happening quickly. This is high resolution and the video player we are using, VLC scales it down, and even if we disable rescaling, there are no scrollbars to see all of the video.

Do not rebuild the Chartbook. That is not the problem and should never be necessary. Please do not do that. We need to understand, this problem and resolve it.

Why is this a problem? Spreadsheets will be listed on the CW menu:

Then 2843. CW lists “MEvent.scss,” even though no chart is accessing it.

The spreadsheet that disappears, is this an attached or detached spreadsheet?

Is it being referenced by a Spreadsheet Study?

If you click in the area where the spreadsheet was previously before it disappeared and use the up and down arrow keys, does it then partially or fully draw? Or is it completely hidden?

We have added this to the documentation:
A Spreadsheet window which is automatically opened by one of the Spreadsheet Studies, will be automatically hidden, when the chart containing that Spreadsheet Study is not visible. This would be the case when the Chartbook it is contained in is not the active visible Chartbook. When the chart becomes visible again, which contains the Spreadsheet Study, then the Spreadsheet window will be made visible again. This happens automatically.

We have noticed some issues, with the automatic hiding and showing of a Spreadsheet window based on the above. Additional work to solve these problems has been done in version 2845. There is still a minor outstanding issue, with tab selection but we will get that resolved.
