I am trying to understand why the retracement tool has a change to the direction of the percentages when placing the target either to the left or to the right of the zero point. This makes no sense! I should not need four different retracement saved settings nor even two. I should only need one and whereever I place my initial point, zero point, then either above or below that level should determine the percentage extensions.

It is the slope of the line, whether up sloping or down sloping which determines the origin point for the percentage calculations.

Thank you but no matter the case, the initial point and positioning above or below that initial point level should determine the extensions.

yes, that is what I have but when you move the target to the left or to the right, then that is what determines the direction of the extensions. I have been using negative numbers as a solution as well but thank you anyway.

We will implement an option to disable using the slope of the line to determine, where the 0% level is for the Price Retracement tool.
