[User Discussion] - Remote Build vs Local Build Development Environments

I am working a project with ChatGPT, GROK, and Claude. I'm building a microstructure tape reading engine. The AI's keep running into older legacy compiler issues. ChatGPT especially. It maintains a lot of the newer call etc. are not available to my compile. What are your thoughts on this? The current iteration I am developing is as detailed as I have been as to microstructure features. Or, maybe I have let the AI run amok. If I switched VS would it be a newer environment? I have the ChatGPT questions that I have answered in its attempt to nail down the development environment constraints. Thanks! Mike

...If I switched VS would it be a newer environment? You can specify the c++ version (and build tools) in local environment if that is what you mean. I assume Claude etc is using c++20 language features and remote compiler is not supporting it, therefore you run into problems. |

Thanks User907968. Until now my study development has been fairly mundane so I had really no issues. I used to be familiar with the VS environment years ago so I guess here we go again. :) History might not repeat itself, but it will rhyme. ~ Twain (I think).
