Good Evening Team, I am trying to setup volume profile for weekly bars. I tried setting up "multiple profile based on bar count". Unfortunately the weekly bars with VP look like the screenshot attached. The chart was historical, hence I tired to make it an intra day chart and gave the bar period value as 7-0-0 in chart settings > Bar period. The chart visually looks as intended but the weekly bars starting and ending dates are wrong. The chart is calculating the last 7 days which does not align with the actual calendar week start and end. Please advice. Attaching the screenshots. |

You want to use an Intraday chart only, but let the TPO Profile Chart study manage the underlying bars which should be 1 minute. And then you use these Input settings to control the Profile time length to be 1 Weeks: Time Price Opportunity (TPO) Profile Charts: Profile Time Period Length Time Price Opportunity (TPO) Profile Charts: Profile Time Period Length Unit Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Team, I still could not figure out your instructions. I am looking for candlestick bars (or overlay bars) coupled with Volume Profile. Your instructions help create a weekly TPO chart but I cannot overlay any candle stick to the Volume profile that comes with the TPO. Please advise. Thank you! |

You can not have bars displayed with a TPO study. So if you are trying to do this with a TPO, then there is not a way to do this. If you are trying to get a weekly Intraday bar period and have the Volume by Price for each bar, then you had the right idea of setting the "Chart Data Type" to "Intraday Chart Only" and then setting the Bar Period to be 7-0-0. The other thing you have to do in this case is use a "Load Data Limiting Method" of "Use Date Range" and set the "Date Range From" to a date that is the start of the week you want (i.e. if you want the week to start on Sunday, then make sure this date is a Sunday). Leave the "Date Range To" empty to get the current data. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
