for each price change of .25 my pnl shows a .75 change. this is consistent across points currency and ticks. i cant find what is causing this weird multiplier.

the incorrect points p/l values appear in both the position line that plots on the chart and in the trade window that i have attached to the chart and whose brackets i used to place the trade

Are you using a "Trade and Current Quote Symbol"? If so, then refer to the following regarding the "Currency Value per Tick": Chart Settings: Updating Currency Value per Tick for Trade Symbol If you are stating that when using a "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" with the proper "Currency Value per Tick" set for the entered Trade and Current Quote Symbol, then we need to know what exactly is occurring when this change happens. Keep in mind that any change to the main symbol will cause that value to be overridden when the symbol settings are loaded for the new symbol. The information from the images you supplied in post #7 shows everything correct. The "Currency Value per Tick" is set to "1.25" as it should be. You have the "Profit/Loss Format" set to "Points", in which case the "Currency Value per Tick" will not get used at all for items displayed on the chart (i.e. Position/Order lines, Trade Window Profit/Loss, etc.). The Trade Activity Log has a separate control for the Profit/Loss format, but in that case the Currency Value per Tick is going to come from the Global Symbol Settings, so it doesn't matter what is in the Chart Settings. If the Chart Settings are changing, then we need to know when this is occurring. yea, hard to say as im a new user (but not a new trader) and i have been configuring settings etc. but i have a pretty good sense of when not to click on settings and certainly never to click on settings willy nilly. this is unfortunate as i cannot trade like this..

when i open any trade whether its es on an es chart or mes on an es chart configured for mes trading, the unrealized p&l in points ticks and currency is grossly misaligned from the price movement. example from yesterday: i opened a trade in mes, price moved up 8 mes points on the price scale e.g. 6882 entry, 6890 is where the price moved to. well the pnl line that draws on the chart to show unrealized status had me up over 80,000 ticks. at other times ive been able to track that for every .25 point that mes moves in price, my pnl on both the chart and the chart trader shows .75 in pnl movement. price movement i.e the price scale is not the problem as i am able to confirm that price is correct through tradingview or my webull app. the point and tick calcs in relation to price movement are completely corrupted. |
