I just upgraded to version 2807 and the Horizontal Grid Lines on my Chart DOM line up differently than before. It's like they're one tick above where they were before, so they don't line up with the tops/bottoms of candles if you're using an aligned renko candle for example. If I set the Horizontal Grid Line Increment to 5 points, instead of lining up on each multiple of 5, like 5, 10, 15, 20, etc, they line up on the 5.25 prices. So the lines will be on 5.25, 10.25, etc. For example, I use a 20 tick aligned renko bars on my chart dom with NQ so its visually very obvious that its off by a tick. The lines don't line up with the tops/bottoms of the renko bars. They're one tick above the tops/bottoms of the bars. I've noticed this on NQ, ES, and GC chart doms. It seems to only be an issue on the Chart DOM though. The rest of my charts don't have the issue. On my other charts they all seem to line up correctly. Please let me know if you need anything from me. Thank you.

Is this on a Trading DOM? Or when you have the Chart DOM enabled. We are not observing this issue when the Chart DOM is enabled.

I believe I'm using the Chart DOM. I'll attach a chartbook with just that chart and a screenshot so you can see what I'm looking at. Assuming I did it correctly you can see that the horizontal line is one tick above the top/bottom of the candle body. Please let me know if you need anything else. I just tried rolling back to version 2803 and 2800 and now I'm having the same issue on those as well. It's entirely possible that this is user error on my part somehow, but I never noticed it being an issue on either of those versions, and I noticed it right away this weekend when I updated to 2807. I remember I had a similar horizontal lines issue with version 2732 about a year ago that I posted about and you guys fixed it pretty quickly when it did turn out to be related to the update. Again, please let me know if you need anything else from me. Thank you again for the help.

The issue in version 2732 was from a change where we were trying to fix an old issue with the way the grid lines were drawn. We reverted that change and have not touched it since then. Attached is an image of what we see, where we changed the colors so we can see the information better. What we see is perfectly normal for the Horizontal Grid Lines, which are displayed just above the desired price point, since the option for "Trade >> Chart DOM Settings >> Other >> Extend Chart Horizontal Grid onto Chart DOM" is set to "Yes". If you set that option to "No", then the grid lines will line up exactly at the desired price level. They are offset with the above setting to not draw through the information at each price point. Refer to the following: Global Trade Settings Windows: Extend Chart Horizontal Grid onto Chart DOM (Global Settings >> Chart DOM Settings >> Other >> Other Settings) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
