Hi Sierra Chart Engineering,

Installed v2805 and opened my chart book, 1 screen appeared to load...all others hanging on waiting for data. Not responding message on title bar.
No error messages I can see in the message log.

Roll back to v2803...all works as expected and charts load in timely manner.

Provide that Chartbook so we can test it. We are not aware of any changes which would cause an issue.

Unsure if sending my chartbook to you would help as it has many custom studies. Glad another user reported seeing same behavior.
My chartbook loads in about 20 seconds with v2803. Two charts loading 200 days of tick data seem to be the primary contributors.
Updated to v2804 and chartbook loads in ~20 seconds as well.

After repeated attempts, my chartbook did load with v2805 in just over 2 minutes.

I even saw a brief "Not Responsive" message from a chart I opened earlier this morning that had just 2 lightweight charts with 1 - 3 studies each and a DOM.

What I see on the screen with v2805 is one screen will partially draw, others are black and no price/time scales, bars, etc.

Please advise...thanks.

We do not observe any problem with this version opening an existing Chartbook.

There is nothing we can do to help at this time.

Again just FYI

I definitely can report that ver. 2805 showing sign of data loading and its correctness
Let me try to describe it

When you click on OC and desired ChartBook you have following:

ChartBook tries to open itself multiple times (that would be normal) then stops by showing missing portion (tpo charts)
If it is Numbers Chart then does the same with multiple times changing its granulation
Load time is much longer

Didn't test execution because it seems so flawed and can't talk about potential delay

As I already posted Ver. 2804 is flawless and I will be sticking with that
Also I am posting this while trading night session and even in "slow Market" getting the same flaws
If you need anything from my side let me know
I assure you that on my side everything is in impeccable condition from my trading machine to internet connection

Sorry to bother you with this
All the best

We cannot help unless we get a Chartbook. This is the point we are trying to make, these posts do not help us at all unless we get a Chartbook and we observe no problems at all ourselves.

Please find attached a chartbook and 4 log files. Once Sierra loaded the chart and all "loading data" messages were gone, I manually reloaded 1 chart so I could also see that message in the log(s). I noticed there is a new pre-release for v2806, so I did repro on that version as well.

Observations:
v2803 loads the chart in about 24 seconds
v2805 loads the chart in about 42 seconds
v2806 loads the chart in about 42 seconds

I noticed that sometimes the startup message about OpenGL shows (\) and sometimes this shows (NVIDIA Corporation/NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080/PCIe/SSE2)
Guessing this is unrelated the primary issue, and just calling it out as an FYI.

Hope this assists you with the investigation of this issue.

We think we know what the problem is. It has to do with an optimization made for Continuous Futures Contract charts, when an ending date is specified but there was a small implementation issue with that. We will have a new release out this evening.

This issue has been resolved in v2807 and charts load in similar time to v2803/v2804 again.
