| Hello, How do I get yesterday's RTH(Day Session only) Volume profile, on today's Chart( with Use Evening Session='Yes') , excluding yesterday's evening session profile completely? I really just need this 1 profile plotted to the right edge of the chart, but cant seem to specify "Number of Periods Back to Reference" to 1, with One period for Volume Graph Period type. These are the settings I ended up, ---------- Volume Graph Period Type : Multiple Profiles based on Fixed Time Number of Periods Back to Reference : 1 Time Period Type for 'Fixed Time' : Days Time Period Length for 'Fixed Time' : 1 Use Different Start Time : Yes Start Time : 9:30:00 End Time : 17:00:00 Use Separate Profile for Evening Session : Yes (If I set this to 'No' , the evening session's Volume gets added to Day session's profile, which is not what I want. I need the evening session's volume excluded.) Exclude Evening session profiles Except for Last Day : Yes Right Align Volume Bars : Yes Always Display Last Profile within view : Yes Align to Far right : Yes This does get yesterday's Volume profile plotted at the end of today's session(at 17:00, but not at the right most edge of chart). And this also plots yesterday's evening session's volume profile at the right most edge of the chart ( which I dont want). Am I doing something wrong with config? Pls advise, Thanks |

| The way you are doing this is also the best option to get what you want. With "Right Align Volume Bars" set to "Yes" and "Always Display Last Profile within View" set to "Yes", the RTH profile should be aligned to the far right of the graphics area. See the attached image of how it shows for us. If you are not getting this, then we would need to see an image of what you are getting. The only other option would be to use a "Volume Graph Period Type" of "From Start Date-Time + Fixed Time Length", where you would then need to reset this each day to the previous day's date. | Thanks for the response. So I noticed, during the "Day" session, the prior day's RTH profile, does get printed on the far right edge of the chart, as it should be. The attached image confirms that. But during evening session, this profile, doesnt get plotted on the right most edge, but further left..,before the end of the previous session. Instead, the prior day's evening session profile gets printed at the right edge of the chart. ( I dont have screenshot of this..,perhaps I could replay and capture that). They swap places, essentially..cluttering up the chart. I just need this evening session profile GONE (or atleast hidden)..How can we do that? In the attached screenshot, I've also highlighted another issue, with a different Volume profile study (named "Volume Profile Today Session Left"). Since the Volume Graph Period Type is set to "Trading Day Start Time to End - Reset at Day Session", its supposed to be plotting the Volume profile of the "Current active" session only...and in this case, only the "Day session since 9:30am"...,but as you can see, it includes volume from the evening session as well. The chart does include Evening session in its settings. I have attached the chart, with the concerned studies, as well screenshot, for your review. |

In this case, the only option is to use one of the "Volume Graph Period Types" that lets you define the Start and End for the day, per what we stated previously. Set the option for "Use Different Start Time" to "No". For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

This would require me to manually adjust the dates every day? . Doesnt seem an efficient approach? Set the option for "Use Different Start Time" to "No". The issue with this is that the profile gets plotted , right at 9:30am , obstructing the candles on the chart. I could also get this same result with "One period from Start Time to End time", but the same issue persists(ie profile plotted right at 9:30am, not at the left edge of the chart..which the "Trading Day Start Time to End - Reset at Day Session" nicely does staying out of the way, but only by including the evening volume data into the profile. Most other platforms seemlessly are able to plot the volume profiles at the left edge of the chart, not obstructing the view. Not sure why its so difficult with SierraChart which is much much more capable than others? |

| Thank you for all the support, but can both of these be added as enhancement requests for future implementation ? 1) Being able to plot prior day RTH Volume profile , on the right edge(or left edge) of the chart, without displaying the evening session profile...,without having to manually update the dates every day. 2) Being able to plot current day RTH Volume profile on the left edge of the chart, without including evening session volume data |
