when i use triggered orders, orders are being sent with delay about 54 seconds. if my price is near trigger price, my order is not filled. if i am entering a triggered trail stop with an intended trail offset assuming order will be sent as soon as trigger price hit, it will be different trail offset price because market moves a lot in 54 seconds. How do I trigger wait time to 0 and trigger evaluation frequency to less then a sec? Thanks in advance.

We need the exact order type you are using when this is happening: when i use triggered orders, orders are being sent with delay about 54 seconds.
Refer to this page for the different order types: Order Types And also tell us the symbol of the chart. Maybe the data you are receiving is delayed. It was triggered limit sell order for mnq, my data feed is not delayed , its teton. Yesterday when market was going down, I placed trigger price to below market and sell limit price to 3 points above the trigger. After trigger price was hit, market traced back up for 5 points before and going down again very quickly therefore my order was supposed to be filled. Because it wasn't filled, I understood there was a delay and that could be acceptable if it was only a few seconds. When I checked the difference between trigger time and order being sent time , that was 54 seconds.

We looked into this, and once the trigger price is met, then the order is a Limit order which is sent at that exact time: When I checked the difference between trigger time and order being sent time , that was 54 seconds.

From my range chart , I could see the exact time of trigger price should have been hit because it was the exact time that one range bar fills and second range bar starts. After I saw the new range bar started and price went 8 ticks above my limit price, my order was not filled. At that time I looked at the new range start time which is also exact time that trigger price was supposed to hit and orders being sent time that was my order entry window, I saw 54 second difference. If you see that order was sent as soon as trigger was sent, My take would be that trigger was realized with 54 seconds delay and even though order was sent as soon as trigger realized, because trigger wasnt realized at actual time my order was not filled. I was thinking that there might be a setting about sierra charts checking the triggers not instantly and but periodicaly like every 30 seconds or so and thats why my order was not filled and you could help me to input required setting there. If neither trigger nor order was late then my order would have been filled. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-10-24 19:36:22

maybe it is easy for you but to me doesnt seem like an easy task, so I will just leave it there and stick with simple orders, have a good weekend |
