Basic keyboard shortcut not working

hi, using sierra again im reminded why i switched. i have a super basic keyboard shortcut for buy and sell market, keyboard shortcuts are enabled on trade menu and the order window, however, its not working, it has worked fine in the past and all of a sudden not, what is the magic fix here? thanks |

It may be that the shortcut is too short. You should not use single keys for a keyboard shortcut, as they could be interpreted by the operating system as regular input, or to do something else (if the key is already assigned, such as the function keys). We recommend using a modifier key (CTRL, ALT, Shift) when setting up keyboard shortcuts. If not the above, then after you try to make a trade using the keyboard shortcut and it does not work, check the Message Log and the Trade >> Trade Service Log and see if there is anything in either of those that gives a reason for why there was a problem.
