Recent bid/ask on the DOM is overwriting two numbers at one price, making it blurry.

The recent bid/ask prints on the DOM are writing two or more numbers per price level, causing the numbers to be blurry. Any idea why this is happening or what I can do to fix it? I am using compressed data via the Market Depth window. The settings are the same with all other products I use (which have no issue). I'm combining two ticks into one. Changing the multiplier from 2 to 3, 4, or some other number does not affect the result. It's still blurry. I have attached a chartbook with just 6J, but this is happening with multiple other products (CL, NG, etc.), yet some products are not affected (ES, NQ). What is the Tick Size of the chart set to?: Chart Settings: Tick Size (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol Settings menu) It needs to be the default. Otherwise combining is definitively not going to work correctly. Make sure you are using the correct settings: Global Trade Settings Windows: Combining Price Levels for Market Data Columns in the Chart/Trade DOM Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. It is not default. I set the tick size different than default so I can compress the DOM and make it more readable for faster moving products. Example: ES. 4 ticks = 1 tick compressed. 0.25/tick becomes 1.00/tick. I then set the "Market Depth Combine Increment In Ticks" to 1, and the market depth and recent bid/ask columns both show liquidity at the new combined depth price levels. It works perfectly. I have no problems on: ES, NQ, RTY, YM, GC, SI while doing this. I only have problems on: CL, NG, 6E, 6J. I literally cloned the DOM, changed only the symbol, and then toggled "Apply Global Symbol Settings" to set the desired compressed tick size (which is updated with the settings I want). All the settings are identical on every DOM. Only the tick size is different, because different symbols have different tick sizes for different compression ratios, however some products display correctly and some do not. I have attached a screenshot of ES where the problem is not there, but the "Tick Size" is not default. The reason why I change the tick size while trying to combine market depth is because if you do not change the tick size then the recent bid/ask volume looks ridiculous and unreadable. The column widths must match. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-10-10 20:54:54

Do not change the default tick size. Rather, do the following: - Set the Tick Size back to the default for all charts. - To aggregate the Market Depth data in the DOM, use the setting for "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Market Depth >> Market Depth Combine Increment in Ticks". Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Market Depth Combine Increment in Ticks (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Market Depth menu) - To aggregate the other columns, be sure to set the option for "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Market Depth >> Apply Combine Increment in Ticks to Other Market Data Columns" to "Yes". Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Apply Combine Increment in Ticks to Other Market Data Columns (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Market Depth menu) - To aggregate the data in the Market Depth Historical Graph, use the "Combine Increment in Ticks" Input. Refer to the following: Market Depth Historical Graph: Combine Increment in Ticks - To aggregate Volume at Price data (such as for Numbers Bars and Volume Profiles), use the "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Data >> Volume at Price Multiplier". Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Volume at Price Multiplier for Historical/Intraday Chart (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Data >> Volume at Price menu) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-10-10 21:31:35
