Adjusting size of delta profile in a flexible volume profile

Hello there, with flexible/drawn volume profiles and a delta profile added, many delta bars appear to have a fixed size and don't scale, especially on higher timeframes (e.g., 3-hour, screenshot). Large deltas stand out, but smaller ones look equal and obscure the volume profile beneath. I see the same β though less pronounced β on lower timeframes. Any ideas how to fix this? Best, Mark |

There appears to be a general issue when setting "Draw Difference of Bid and Ask Volume Using Percent of Max Bar". This will take us some time to look into.

Sorry for the delay. This was something we have not looked at in awhile. There really is nothing wrong. There is a minimum 3 pixel size, for which any volume that would draw less than this is set to 3 pixels and then multiplied by the overall multiplier for that profile. Therefore, with a lot of smaller values falling into this category, when the data is multiplied out, it appears in this manner. No worries and thanks for the explanation! I understand the 3-px minimum now. My goal, though, is to overlay a delta profile that scales proportionally. I attached two screenshots that show: Current behavior: many small bins draw at a uniform size that partly obscure the profile. Desired behavior: achieved by stacking a second VbP study on top, calculation set to Ask β Bid Volume, where the delta bars scale correctly. I'd love have this kind of proportional scaling be available within a single study. Maybe I haven't found the right option yet? The two-study workaround is fine for fixed time interval profiles, but itβs not practical for flexible drawn profiles. Best, Mark |

The purpose of the "Draw Difference of Bid and Ask Volume Using Percent of Max Bar" is to do what you want. But we do understand the issue you are referring to in terms of the smaller values obscuring the profile. If we find time, we will look into why we set the 3 pixel minimum. I am actually the one that did that work, but I do not recall why I did that. There had to be some reason for it. But we can not say when we would get a chance to look into this.
