Make Sierrachart NOT load recent data/contracts when studying old contracts

I've set Sierra to load ~30 days of ES intraday data in 2021 using "Use Date Range". It does display the selected days correctly, but when I for example change time frame on the chart or when I load the chart after opening Sierra, it loads every contract up until current contract (ESU25) which takes a lot of time. Can I make Sierra only load let's say ESU21 and ESZ21? I don't want gaps with rollover, so I need to have some kind of back adjustment enabled. -I swear I've seen info or a workaround on this topic somewhere, but I just can't find it. Thanks. |

If you are using a Continuous Futures Contract and then only limiting the data to display to that specific time frame, then there is no way to change what gets loaded. The system is going to load all the contracts to determine the bars and then display just the section you want. And really, this must occur in order to properly align the contracts if you are using a Back Adjusted option. If you only want to view the data from that period without a Continuous Contract, then you should open a chart for the symbol from that time that you want to view. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
