Spreadsheet only updates when a fill happened, not continuously

Hi SC Support,

I noticed that on my spreadsheet for trading, the formula recalculations only happen when there is a print in the market (in this case ES) but not continuously.

As an example, i have a formula that prohibits trading around the full minute mark +4 seconds, but while e.g. the sizes on the bid/offer constantly change on the chart, the spreadsheet only recalculates and gives new values when there was a print.

During GLOBEX hours, it can happen that you do not have a print for 10s or so and that can screw up things for eg realtime stacking calculations.

Is there a way to get the sheet to recalculate independently of fills in the market?

Thank you for your help in advance.

This definitely should not be the case. We are quite sure, the spreadsheet is going to be updated even with a change only with the bid or ask prices.

We have confirmed this is the case. Definitely the Sheet is updating, with bid and ask updates even though there is not a trade.

There could not be a problem with this. That really is impossible.

Hi SC Support,

You are right regarding bid/ask etc. not sure what was happening on my side.

One question remains and that is that e.g. =SECOND(J41) only updates when there is a print. Is there any chance to get the time to update continously?

I played around with the Clock - Real Time study to somehow create a work around but was not successful.

Thank you in advance

We did add the new Market Depth Update Date-Time field but it only shows with the new version 2 fields:

Hi SC Support,

Thank you for the J18 field in the spreadsheet V2.

Can you make it that the sheet uses the global chart update interval setting (e.g. 10ms)?

I looked through the documentation but did not find information on how to change the spreadsheet update interval or what the default is. It seems it is 1 second but it would be great if J18 also updated at the same speed as the chart.

Regards,
Andre

The Spreadsheet Studies update like any other study, except that only the first 10 rows are calculated and not all rows.
