Hello, when I start a replay for the first time in a session (i.e. currently not in replay mode), the "Start Paused" flag works as expected. The chart loads data up to the bar where I want to start the replay, but does not actually start to replay until I click "Play". However, if I want to start another replay at a different bar then (i.e. currently already in replay mode), the "Start Paused" flag is ignored and the replay always starts immediately. A minor nuisance, but probably not intentional. |

The way this works now is correct. Since the replay is running, when you continue the replay it will just immediately start from the new location.

If you are backtesting an autotrading system, you may get erroneous results unless you start fresh after a Stop. IMO, it's best practice to always start from a Stop. |

I happens irrespective of whether the replay is currently running or not. If I pause the replay and then start from another point, it still just begins immediately. If it didn't, that would make a little more sense, but it doesn't. And even if it did it would still suggest otherwise when "Start Paused" is ticked, so that would still not be ideal from a UI standpoint. If I can clearly see that "Start Paused" is checked, I expect it to start paused when I start a new replay, I don't think that's a stretch. @Sawtooth Thanks, I'll keep that in mind but it's not about automated backtesting, just manual research. |

Agreed, but we work with what we have. Start Paused only works when starting from Stop.Since this is the case, something important is being reset when starting from Stop, that is not reset when starting a new Replay without a Stop. In my experience, a Replay can't be trusted unless it is started from a Stop. Start paused is essential when replaying multiple charts, so that all charts have their data loaded before a Replay begins. |

Regarding post #4 the current behavior is not going to change.
