Today, June 4th, 2025, I placed a market order right after a 10:00 news event. My order was rejected and this is the message I received:
Order type not permitted while the market is reserved. I've not seen anything about this rejection notice while doing a search.

Sierra Version 2758
Denali and Teton order routing.

What was the order type? If you look in the Trade Activity Log you can get the exchange order ID:
Trade Activity Log: Common Instructions to Set Trade Activity Log Display Settings

Have your broker contact the exchange about this or you can contact them directly, with the exchange order ID.

You can also find the error listed here:

When I go to the Trade Activity Log, set it for All Activity, go to the time of the rejected trade, that rejected trade mentioned above is not listed. I can't find the 'order rejected' message anymore. Where can I find this? I also looked in the Message Log and it wasn't there either.

That information would be in the "Trade >> Trade Service Log". But that log is cleared whenever you exit from Sierra Chart. So if you have restarted the program since it occurred, you would not have it in the log anymore.

OK, Found it. However, there is no 'exchange order ID' as you mentioned in your first post response. I have 'Internal Order ID', 'Security ID', and 'Service Order ID'

To find the Exchange Order ID, you need to go to your Trade Activity Log and look at the "Trade Activity" tab. You need to find the "Order" that was submitted for that item. It will be in the log somewhere.

My Trade Service Log (Version 2758) only has 'Close' and 'Edit' at the top. There are no tabs that I'm aware of on my Trade Service Log (Trade -> Trade Service Log)

Nonetheless, my broker says it's a CME generated error code. (CME Error Code 7027) Apparently, during times of high market volatility CME will 'reserve' the market. Who or what they are reserving the market for I don't know.

Sorry - we wrote the wrong thing. You need to go to the "Trade Activity Log" and look at the "Trade Activity" and be sure you are viewing the Orders to find the particular order that was sent that was rejected.

But, it sounds like you got your answer. We do not know what this means specifically either.
