Hello, I have been having the above problem for the past day whereby the downloaded freezes at about 70% of the download and the programme then has the 'not responding' message. Daily historical downloads appear to be fine. My data is from T4 on a sim account and am in the middle of a trading assessment so am under pressure to resolve this asap so your help will be much appeciated.

Thanks

Giles

This is one reason we are changing the integration method to the T4 system to use FIX. This will not happen in that case.

Right now an API component is used. This is one of the problems that can occur and this is what we explain here:

When this happens, what happens if you wait a minute? Does the user interface become active again?

Select Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings. Set the Intraday Data Storage Time Unit to 1 Second if it is at 1 Tick.

It remains frozen for several minutes. The setting was at 1 second for the storage time unit.

How do I change T4 to use FIX?

We are in the process of working on FIX. It will not be ready for about 2 more weeks.

What is the symbol that you are charting?

Do i have any other options to get intraday data for the next 2 weeks? I'm right in the middle of a prop firm assessment which was going well in order to get backing and this makes things really difficult as I use volume profile and the number bars a lot.

What version of Sierra Chart are you running where you are experiencing this?

Thanks, it is the latest version (971). I have changed the days to 10 but this hasn't changed anything. Every time the download starts it stops and freezes the program at 73%.

Restart Sierra Chart and delete the CL Chart data file following the steps here:

If you still have difficulty, we can use remote assistance to look into the problem further. We do not need a voice connection.
