Hi,
I take te G7FX trading course.
I signed for a free trial but it didn't show what is in the course so I updated for 6 months.
I tried to place bid and nothing happened.
I must admit that most of the time I have for learning is spent on trying to solve / understand/ ask for support around Sierra charts...
I really don't understand why.

How exactly did you try to "place bid"? What are the exact steps you took?

Thank you for your reply -
I have installed 5 charts working with G7FX data.
I followed the instructions in the course.
Some charts are not working although I have manually updated the dates...

I went to the 10y treasury and the British CME
I choose the price I want to bid I click on it and a window opens.
I confirm - and nothing happens.
I will attach a couple of screenshots for both issues.
OOOPPPSSS even uploading screenshots is so complicated here....
I can't find the customize chart header through the global settings...

Please, help me because I can't proseed with the trading course.

Regards,
Avishag Air

We are not understanding the situation. What are the exact steps you are taking to put in an order. We need to know what/where you are clicking or what keys you are using, etc. We need the exact steps.

Additionally, the one image you show with the confirmation popup shows that the symbol you are using needs a rollover. The U contract is not traded much at this time, you need to change to the Z contract for the ZN.

But, that order should have shown on your chart if you selected Yes to the confirmation. What happened after you selected Yes?

What is "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Main Settings >> Current Selected Service" set to?

Is there a check mark next to "Trade >> Trade Simulation Mode On"?

I will try that later (What is "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Main Settings >> Current Selected Service" set to?
) I hope it will set it.

As for >> Is there a check mark next to "Trade >> Trade Simulation Mode On"?<< -
After pressing YES on the confirmation window - the window disappears but there is no "Trade" check mark.
It showed the same columns as before placing the bid.

At the moment I want to do simulated trading.
Can you understand what the problem is or what mistake I have made?
This is taking so long and I can't use the upgraded system (that I am paying for)

If you want to do simulated trading follow through the instructions here:

Trade Simulation

Make sure you are using a current non-expired symbol.

You will do simulated trading using delayed data which will be fine for this purpose.

Hello again,
I went over all the instructions and everything was already marked -
SIM and Tick size.
And yet, trying to place a bid gives me the same result:
the window "confirm order" opens
and when I confirm - the window disappears but the bid is not listed.
I tried again on 10Y TREASURY note

You are not giving us the information we have requested. Please let us know the following:
- What is "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Main Settings >> Current Selected Service" set to?
- Is there a checkmark next to "Trade >> Trade Simulation Mode On"?
- What is the symbol of the Chart/Trade DOM, exactly as it is entered in "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol"?

- After you try to place a trade, open the "Trade >> Trade Service Log" and follow these instructions to get us the information in that window:

Well, I don't give you the correct information because I can't find it!
I go into one of the 5 cherts I have that are opened on my computer.
There is no Global settings but GENERAL SETTINGS – is that the same thing?
I try to find Data/Trade Service Settings >>
I can only find:
Trade Activity
Automatically delete trade activity log files on startup older than days (>=2 is enabaled)
Value (on this line) 0.
I didn't find
Main Settings >> Current Selected Service"
So I am not abble to tell you what it is set to?

- Is there a checkmark next to "Trade >> Trade Simulation Mode On"?
I see TA:SIM1 DP

- What is the symbol of the Chart/Trade DOM, exactly as it is entered in "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol"?
Synbol is ESU24-CME

We specify the full path for you to get to the specific areas. For instance, when we specify "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Main Settings >> Current Selected Service", we mean to go to the "Global Settings" menu at the top of your Sierra Chart and select that, then select the item for "Data/Trade Service Settings". This will open a window which has two tabs on it. You need to be on the "Main Settings" tab and then look for the item named "Current Selected Service".

For "Trade >> Trade Simulation Mode On", this will just be under the "Trade" menu at the top, there is an item in that menu named "Trade Simulation Mode On". It will have a checkmark next to it or not.

You need to do this for each of the items we specify.

I followed the instructions.
The trade simulation was marked positive on the checkmark.

Now all the charts are >> not working <<
The top bar was green and no. were running
and now it's yellow and written "Reconnect wait"

I don't understand why everything goes wrong...

Is there a specific reason why you have "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Main Settings >> Current Selected Service" set to "DTC Service"?

This implies that you are trading through a DTC Server that you have setup. Is this the case?

If you do not know what the DTC Protocol is, then change the "Current Selected Service" to be "SC Data - All Services". Then select OK to close that window, and when you are prompted to update your symbols, be sure to answer "Yes".

Then place a trade and let us know what happens.

O.K.charts are working again.
I tried to place a bid and pressed YES to confirm in the window.
The confirmation window disappeared, and another window opened with the history of the last few days.
The last raw says

You have the option for "Trade >> Trading Locked" enabled. Select this option to remove the checkmark next to that item in order to be able to trade.
