Hi, I currently have Service Package 11, the only difference I can see between this and Package 10 is the external connectivity. I don't currently use or need live data or any connections to any specific exchanges as I'm just monitoring the charts. Would I be okay to downgrade or do I still need Package 11? I'm unsure as to what external connectivity specifically entails. Thanks.

Both 10 and 11 have external functionality available thru .

Use either 3 or 5 if you really don't require that.

I just don't know what external connectivity means? Is this related to connecting to different exchange data feeds or am I not understanding it at all?

The Integrated Packages from Sierra Chart includes external connectivity from Sierra Chart to any of the Supported Data and Trading Services.

This means the ability to trade a live account, or use live data services on your chart.

To begin with, Package 11 and Package 10 vary in terms of certain studies only being available in Package 11 (such as Numbers Bars and TPO). Refer to the information for these packages here:

As User90125 has stated, if you are not trading a live account and do not need real-time data (such as using the Sierra Chart Simulated Futures Trading Service with our Delayed Streaming Data) then you would not need to be on an Integrated package. You should instead be on one of the Base packages. Refer to the information here:

Hello all

I am new with sierra chart and I am also interested in one of these packages so I was looking at "Sierra Chart with Advanced Features and Market by Order (Service Package 12)"
So, If I pay for Service Package 12 do I still need a broker if I want live trading?

And second question please, if I want a few months just to play and study, will Service Package 10 will be enough? (I still want live data of FUTURES)

Thank you!

Yes. And a data source too.

What are the exchanges for which you want the real-time data?

If you are not trading live, then we highly recommend using our Delayed Streaming data. The data acts like real-time data, but is delayed by 10-15 minutes (depending on exchange). It is also free of charge as long as you have an active subscription. This means that you could save money by also being on one of the Base packages.

I think CME?

I will use SC for 99% study but I want to be able to try things, live on futures like mini-contracts.

To get the data for the CME Group at the Non-Professional rate, you do need to have a live, funded, futures trading account, to which you can connect Sierra Chart for verification. Refer to the following for more information:

If you do not have an account, then refer to the solution outlined at the following link:

Just to clarify since I have not been using Sierra Chart for a while.

The base service packages (3 and 5) no longer have connectivity to a real-time data feed since Denali is the only real-time feed now?

For real-time data, the integrated packages must be used?

Thank you for all your hard work.

It depends upon what symbols you need real-time data for. In the case where an exchange fee has to be paid, you would need package 10 or higher.
