Some issues that are frustration me ...

(1) On your recommendation upgraded to package #3
Have not used it as now realize that cannot have SC data for futures and trade from chart to enter order to IB.
I don't suppose that there is a work around to use SC data and IB for chart trading ...

(2) I use IB data everyday to trade NQ and YM futures with intraday charts; works OK apart from rollover when loose history.
Now want to chart ES. So tried to use my NQ existing charts and just changed NQ to ES; data stalls at Dec 27 2013 and wont load beyond then...
Then tried a simple 5 min stock like GE intraday and it wont load past June 04 2014;

Please help there must be something you can do to help me

1. Make sure the Symbol Settings are up-to-date. Follow the instructions here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_GlobalSymbolSettings.php#UpdateSettings

You also may need to reset the symbol in the chart. Follow the instructions in help topic 6.7 here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails6.html#h6.7

2. We would think you are familiar with IB "pacing violations" which is the source of the problem.

To solve this problem update Sierra Chart to the latest prerelease with Help >> Download Prerelease. Refer to the notes for version 1141 here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/Whats_New.php

No progress

Went through all your suggestions; upgraded symbol list; then selected symbol from the list.
The ES-201406-GLOBEX will not load past 2013-12-27; just stalls on "waiting to download historical data"
Tried the prelease latest version but had to go back as now got the above message on the NQ and don't want to mess with my working charts.

Same story on an intraday stock
GE does not load past 2014-06-04

Given that the NQ works fine this does not seem like an IB pacing problem..??

Also no comment from you about using SC for data and IB for trading/orders..??

The historical data problem is completely related to pacing violations. The main problem is you have set Sierra Chart to download too much historical data. The easiest solution is to update Sierra Chart with Help >> Download Prerelease. The newer versions use the Sierra Chart Historical Data service to download historical data.

Refer to the notes for version 1141 here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/Whats_New.php

Also no comment from you about using SC for data and IB for trading/orders..??
We did answer what you need to do for this. Refer to post #2. You can definitely use Sierra Chart data and trade with Interactive Brokers.

Today was futures rollover day; no progress on this issue; no charts working on the new Sept. contracts ..grrr
I have done more than 10 rollovers with IB over the years using these chart setups.
Something has changed ??
Tried switching to pre-release ver 1146 and changing symbols and data feed to SC per set up instructions.
Now NQ stalls at 2014-04-30 for 5 min and tick charts
Number of days to download set to 10; changing makes little difference
What is "date range in file" all about ? Not able to edit this.

Please be specific. This is too vague for us to help with.

and changing symbols and data feed to SC per set up instructions.
What exactly did you do? And what instructions are you referring to? There is nothing to change with Intraday charts.

Now NQ stalls at 2014-04-30 for 5 min and tick charts
For help with this refer to help topic 7 here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails7.html

We recommend re-downloading the data with Edit >> Delete All Data and Download.

Refer to the documentation here about the Date Range:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_ChartSettings.html#DateRangeInFile

The best approach to this, is to focus on one single chart, tell us in the present time what the particular issue is , the symbol of the chart and provide a copy of the Message Log.

Now that you are using the latest version you should have no missing data in Intraday charts, except possibly for the last 10 minutes or so at the end but not necessarily. This depends upon Interactive Brokers. The symbols of Intraday charts need to be Interactive Brokers symbols.

One thing is for certain, if you open a new chart through File >> Find Symbol. And then if there is any missing data you go to Edit >> Delete All Data and Download, you should not have any trouble with the historical data any longer.

(1) "no charts working on the new Sept. contracts ..grrr"
This means that no meaningful data when do rollover of change to the Sept contarct in char/settings
The old contract works fine but useless for trading now

All I want to do is to use my existing chart setups on the new Sept futures contracts for NQ YM and ES

(2) "and changing symbols and data feed to SC per set up instructions.
What exactly did you do? And what instructions are you referring to? There is nothing to change with Intraday charts"

In Global settings changed the server settings from IB to SC Forex Data (FXCM)
also file connect and disconnect as per the SC data feed instructions

(3)"Now NQ stalls at 2014-04-30 for 5 min and tick charts"
As above does not load beyond these dates

Sent you a message log after doing a rollover and data delete and reload get blank screen

The important thing for me is not to have to configure my charts and studies again; all I want to do is to change symbols from xx06 to xx09.
The weird thing is that all the old contracts work fine...

Again when using SC data feed, surely it is not possible to enter orders from the charts and have them transmit to IB ??
This too is important for me must be able to send orders to IB from charts and not manually on Trader Workstation

2. This is not correct to do this. Using that Service you will not get any of the data that you need. We have no idea where you read this.

From version 1141 notes about the support for the Sierra Chart Historical Data Service for Intraday Charts when using Interactive Brokers:
There is nothing special to do to use this feature. It happens automatically.

Set the Service back to Interactive Brokers. There is no need to ever change it at all. This is the source of all of the problems.

3. See the answer given for 1 and 2.

1. We need to see an image of the chart to better understand this. Here are the instructions:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=PostingInformation.php#Image

However, first re-download the data following the instructions here assuming this is a Continuous Futures Contract chart:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_ContinuousFuturesContractCharts.html#ReDownloading
