Dear Support, I am trying to setup up Sierra Charts to work with Crude Oil / Micro (CL and QM). I believe I have selected the correct packages but it's not worked for me as yet. The error that I receive is "Real time market data only supported with Sierra Chart data feed for symbol: F.US.MCLEF23. ID:22" I was previously using "CLF23-NYMEX" whilst on Sim; I have tried switching to the one advised but this has not worked. As for the setup - this is what I have completed thus far:

- Selected package 11 from Sierra Charts to enable a live data feed via Denali / CQG
- Selected the market data - I opted for the NYMEX only as I only wanted data for CL and QM (both within the NYMEX market)
- I have completed the relevant certificates
- I have received my password from CQG and used this to successfully login
- I have a funded account with AMP futures; I only intend to use AMP for the exchange
- When selecting the Data / Trade Service Setting, I selected CQG WebAPI, and successfully entered my username and password

What am I missing? What can I do resolve the connectivity issue?

thanks

Mukesh

Be aware that QM (mini crude) is not the same as MCL (micro crude).

You have not activated any exchanges for the real-time data. You can activate the exchange(s) you need at the following link:
https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=DenaliDataFeed#Exchanges

Note that since this is your first time using the Denali Exchange Data Feed, the CME Group exchange(s) you activate will be free for the remainder of the month in which you activate the exchange. Therefore, if you activate it today, you will get the data for free for today and tomorrow and then you will pay the exchange fee on December 1, 2022 for the month of December.

We tell you this, as you may want to wait until December 1 to activate the exchange, that way you will get the month of December for free and you will not have to pay for the data until January 1, 2023.

Thanks for coming back to me and letting me know the issue; I thought I had activated the service, but obviously not. Thanks for the heads-up re: the first month being free; will definitely take this onboard. Will give this a go and come back to this forum if I have any issues.

Thanks again.

Hi Support - So I activated option 18 - NYMEX with market depth as the exchange data today as I'm keen to trade Crude Oil and / or Micro Crude Oil, however I am still unable to see live data when I access the charts. I intially received the following warning message: "Download Failed. Historical Data only supported with Sierra Chart data feed" and then subsequently can only see empty charts.

I have confirmed with AMP futures that the CQG link is operational, and they have advised the issues is likely to be with a Sierra Chart configuration.

I can see the data on the charts if I switch back to delayed data.

thanks

Check that the option for Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds is set to Yes.

If you have to change this from No to Yes, then select OK to close that window and then select File >> Disconnect followed by File >> Connect to Data Feed. You should be fine after that.

If the above setting was already set to Yes, then we would need to see your Message Log by following these instructions:

Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log:
Message Log: Clearing the Message Log

Open a chart for the symbol you have an issue with. Tell us that symbol of the chart.

Disconnect from the data feed with "File >> Disconnect".

Connect to the data feed with "File >> Connect to Data Feed".

After the connection and after about 10 seconds, provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions:
Support Board Posting Information: How to Post Your Message Log (Required In Some Cases)

We will then determine what the problem is.

Looks like that did the trick - thank you.

Can I just confirm, as mentioned by one of the other guys above, is MCL the same as CL but a 1/10th of the value? I'm looking to work with Micro market before I go on to CL.

thanks
