I'm having a problem with my Global Profit Loss management rules not working. I'm trading the Micro SP500 and have my Loss Trigger set at -50.00 and the "Lock after Positions flattened" box is checked the "flatten positions when Loss rules met" box is checked. However, I'm still able to trade after my Loss value has been triggered.

In the "Daily Net Loss Management" section of the "Global Profit/Loss Management" window there is a notification area that has the word "Status" above it. What is shown in that area?

In the "Status" window, it says, "Waiting for Daily Net loss value of -50.00C. Current Net P/L = -75.00CC. Account: 130360. Is there a way to lock trading after a certain number of trades?

Is there anything showing in the "Trigger Date" in the Daily Net Loss Management section? If so, then you would want to reset that.

There is not a built-in method to lock after a certain number of trades.

There is nothing listed in the trigger date section and I am not able to reset that or type anything in that section. Please advise.

Deselect the option for "Flatten Positions When Loss Rules Met" and then select "OK" to close that window.

Then go back to the Global Profit/Loss window and the status should show "Loss Management is disabled.". You can then continue trading.

If you want to try to use the Global Profit/Loss, then enable the option for "Flatten Positions When Loss Rules Met" again, just be sure you are flat at the time and do not have any open positions. Let us know if you have any further issues.

I did what you said and it the Profit/Loss Management function is still very unreliable. I don't have any position open at this time in my live account and the Status window says "Waiting for Daily Net Loss Value of -100.00C. Current Net P/L = 250.50C." I don't have any positions on and therefore don't have a net profit of 250.50C. Please advise.
