Hello,

I am finding a very slight delay in real time market data for my futures symbols, about 10 seconds compared to another one of my trading platform. It’s been going on for about a month. I am wondering if there is any particular reason for this or could it be something I should update on my end? I use Denali for my data package. Thanks a lot for your help.

The question that comes to mind is how are you determining this delay?

If it is from the DD: in the Chart Header Line, then that time difference would be caused by the clock in your local computer being different from the exchange clock by 10 seconds.

It’s actually by candlesticks. I’ve noticed prices start to appear in candlesticks about 10 seconds earlier on my other software than when candlesticks start appearing on Sierra. The clock runs normally all the while. It’s about 10 seconds of delay through all symbols on my end.

There are a number of possible reasons for the data to appear differently in two different systems. It is not something that we can look into.

You need to look at the data on Sierra Chart on its own and determine if there is an issue within itself.

It can help to have your computer clock synchronized to our servers. Refer to the following:
