Hi there,
Would anybody tell me if my Denali data feed is activated? I have paid for it but not sure if it is activated. I am getting lost in the sea of documentation for any help I am looking for. At this point I am frustrated that after having paid for almost two weeks I still could not see real time data.

Would appreciate your prompt response.

You are not yet setup with the Denali data.

What is/are the exchange(s) for which you want real-time data?

If you are wanting data from the CME Group, then be aware of the CME Group requirement to qualify for the non-professional exchange fees at the following link:

Thanks for your quick response. I am new to futures and learning so would not mind having delayed data. I want to trade ES mini, stocks and bitcoins. I wish you can suggest any data feed which will allow me real time data for ES mini and all Nasdaq/ nyse stocks ?

Hi,
Would you plese check if the Daneli feed is activated? I had manually activated it. Also, I only see a blank screen for my 5 min, 30 min time frame for ES mini, is my scale out of range? It was working before with delayed data but i dont know if i did something with scale that is making the chart for ES not visible.

Thanks

The first thing you need to be aware of, is that for the E-Mini S&P 500 Futures data from the CME Group (ES) you will need to have a live, funded, futures trading account to which you can connect your Sierra Chart software, in order to qualify for the non-professional exchange fees. For more information on this, refer to the following:
Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges

If you do not have an account that meets the requirements, then we recommend the service outlined at the following link:
Easy Solution to CME Funded Trading Account Requirement

Once you have this worked out (or if you want to pay the Professional fees) then you will follow the instructions at the following link for the CME Group data:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges*

For the US Stock data, follow the instructions at the following link:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: All Other Exchanges*

You should be getting the delayed streaming data. If you think it is a scale issue then follow the instructions at the following link:
Chart Scale and Scale Adjusting: Resetting the Scale

Thank you! Does that mean the $36 I am paying is only for the Sierra charting with delayed data from Denali?

Does having a trading account with Interactive broker qualify for getting real time data?

Thanking you in advance for your rsponse.

Yes, exactly.

Does having a trading account with Interactive broker qualify for getting real time data?
Yes. Follow the instructions at the following link to connect your Sierra Chart to Interactive Brokers:
Interactive Brokers Trading Service

If you do not want to trade through Sierra Chart, therefore you do not want to be connected to your Interactive Brokers account at all times, then you can keep your Current Selected Service set to SC Data - All Services, but you will need to connect at least once a month to your Interactive Brokers account to update your non-professional status to continue to get real-time data. Refer to the following:
Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Connecting Only Once a Month to Trading Account to Support CME Group Exchange Fees

Hi,
My interactive broker has just become active. I was hoping that in a funded interactive broker I would be able to follow the steps you mentioned in the last message. I do not want to trade through Sierra chart but want the real time data. As advised, I logged out of all SC data from Sierra chart and wanted to log with interactive broker, but the constant error message popped up. It says connection error: is TWS software running and is enabled for socket clients?
Message log: no connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. Can you please advise me what should i do?

Thanks in advance

Make sure the TWS software is running on the same computer that you have Sierra Chart installed on. If it is running, then you should be able to go through the Setup Instructions at the following link and make your connection:
Interactive Brokers Trading Service: Setup Instructions

We do see that your "Verified Until" date is September 17, 2022, so it looks like you made a connection to the IB software somehow.

Thanks for your email. I followed your instruction, but I am still not getting real time data. By any chance do I have to buy data from interactive broker? I just opened an account with interactive broker using $500 deposit so that I can use Sierra chart real time data. I was under the impression that Sierra chart just wants us to connect once a month to interactive broker to be able to use Sierra chart real time data.

Let me know if I am doing anything wrong.

Thanks in advance

You still have not completed the necessary steps to get the data from us.

You have completed the agreements for the NASDAQ TotalView data, but you have not activated the exchange. You can activate the exchange here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=DenaliDataFeedNASDAQ#Exchanges

And you have not properly completed the CME Group data agreements or activated the exchange(s) (you need to have the agreements done first). Now that you have your Interactive Brokers account, you nee to enter that information in the agreements for your FCM. You can fill out the agreements at the following link:
https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ExchangeAgreements

Let us know when this is done so we can process the agreements and let you know when you can activate the exchange(s) you want for the CME Group. When ready, you will activate the exchange(s) here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=DenaliDataFeed#Exchanges

Thanks for your response. The link that you provided is asking me to pay $ 16 for activating the Nasdaq US data. I am sorry but I am confused. The whole reason I created an Interactive broker's account is to avoid paying any fees. In your previous thread you mentioned that having an interactive broker's account will enable me to have Seirra chart real time data provided I log into Interactive broker once a month.

Let me know if I am understanding it correctly.

Thanks

No, that was not the intention of the statement. The reason you need the Interactive Brokers account is to qualify as a Non-Professional for the CME Group data. Otherwise, the exchange fees are much more expensive.

But you do have to pay for the real-time data. You will not be able to get it for free from anyone.

Thanks for your response. I completed the agreements. Still in doubt. I had already paid $36 for SC all data. Does it not include the real time data I want? If not, does it mean I have to pay$ 16 on top of $ 36$ I am paying? If so, please go ahead and activate the Denali exchange feed.

The exchange fees are on top of the cost of the Sierra Chart software. So yes, for the NASDAQ data, you will need to pay an additional $16.00 for the exchange fee.

The exchange fees for the CME Group range from $1.50 to $33.00 depending on what you need for that data.

Note that we can not activate any of the exchanges for you as you do not have any funds in your account to pay for them. Please add funds and activate the exchanges as you need. Keep in mind that you will pay the full amount for the exchange for the remainder of this month, as the exchanges do not pro-rate, so you will then pay the full amount again on the first day of next month.

Thanks for your response. I just wanted all stocks in Nasdaq and ES mini. I am not sure which data feed will be good for ES mini. In any case I added $100 in my account with Sierra chart. It is saying pending to add the credit card. I am not sure what is going on. Can you please let me know if the payment went through
and can I add NASDAQ data?

Your payment went through, so you can activate the NASDAQ exchange.

For the ES Mini, you need the CME Group data. If you do not need Market Depth data, then you you would want to activate the CME Non-Professional Top-of-Book which costs $1.25 per month. But you still need to redo the Exchange Agreements and enter Interactive Brokers for your Clearing Firm and your Interactive Brokers Account Number. After that is accepted you will be able to activate the CME Group exchange you want.

Thank you again. Would you please send me any instruction as how to enable the CME data from Interactive broker? I won’t mind paying $1.25.

First, you need to fill out the exchange agreements again, and enter "Interactive Brokers" for the Clearing Firm and enter your IB Account Number. The agreements are here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ExchangeAgreements

Then once we approve those agreements, you need to activate the exchange at the following link:

Hi John,

In your thread on last Thursday, you told me to have my clearing firm as interactive broker. I already did it. The next step is for you to approve the agreement.

Would you please activate it. I have been waiting since Friday.

Appreciate your prompt service.
