LIVE DATA GETTING DELAYED ASKING FOR IB CONNECTIVITY

I suddenly lost live data - became 10 min delayed. To allow Sierra Chart access to my trading account I connected the IB account following your instructions - socket ID et al. After this if I close the IB TWS Sierra Chart brings up an error code. Note I use Sierra Chart only on 1 machine but should be able to access my IB account from any other machine. I am not sure why this error message is cropping up if the IB account is closed. Does Sierra Chart need access to this account every month? Furthermore if I wanted to route my orders from Sierra Charts to IB (the Teton order routing service does not support IB it seems) is there anyone you suggest who can help me set this up?

If you are going to stay connected to IB, then you need to have the IB software running on the computer to connect to it. Otherwise, if you are only going to connect once a month, then you need to have the IB software running, make the connection to IB from within Sierra Chart, and then reset Sierra Chart to connect to SC Data - All Services, then you can stop the IB software on that computer as well. Thank you John. I would like to try to use Sierra Chart order generator (this has been very convenient to use on the sim) on my charts to push orders into my IB account so would like to keep the IB connection running instead of once a month for now. I will benefit from a remote session (happy to pay for this) or a pointer to someone who can help me do this error free. Lot to figure out on Sierra chart and while I have worked overtime on this in the last few weeks for order generation at least I do not wish to take chances and would like some help. Can you advise please. I have seen you reference seamless order execution is possible with IB and also seen your criticisms of IBs technology. My orders will be relatively simple market and stop limit orders for up to 6 micro futures for now (mainly ES and some currencies for now)

Its ok. I have started pushing the orders into IB (I am using SC/Denali data for trading) and its working well mostly but I have to keep an eye on it as sometimes the orders disappear from IB and also need to convert the orders to GTC from Day
