Hi

I am paying for NASDQ realtime data to TradingView for $2/month.
I am also paying a monthly fee to InteractiveBrokers for real-time data bid/ask (top of book) quotes for NASDAQ.
I have the Denali feed and service pachage 11, why do i have to $16 / month for NASDAQ data? why is it $16?
Also, can i connect Sierra to my InteractiveBrokers account and get the data from InteractiveBrokers instead of paying again to Sierra?

Thank you

That is the price that we have set for our NASDAQ TotalView data.

If you are connecting your Sierra Chart to Interactive Brokers, then you can get the data from IB. Refer to the information here:
Interactive Brokers Trading Service

If, however, you are connecting to your TradingView account, then there is not an easy way to get the data from Interactive Brokers while connected to TradingView. That is where our data feeds are different, in that you can get the data from us regardless of the trading service you are connected to.

Hi John

Thanks for the reply.
no, i am not connecting to TradingView for that matter, i'm just paying the nasaq data subscription there so i can chart on live data.
i also pay data subscription for nasdaq stocks to Interactive Brokers, and what i want is connect it to Sierra so that i can see orderflow on Sierra, i suppose the link you sent me is for that, i'll lhave a look and come back to you.
Another question please, how/which data do i need to chart SPY on Sierra Chart?
The SPY chart on Sierra does not move.
Oh and last question, let's say i am charting ES futures and i'm connected to CQG through Sierra, how can i chart something on the SC data feed without disconnecting from CQG ?

Thank you

16 USD per month is the NASDAQ TotalView exchange fee. That is set by the exchange.

You need to use the symbol :
SPY-NQTV

You just simply open a chart for the symbol:
how can i chart something on the SC data feed without disconnecting from CQG ?
For what exchange do you want to get data for when connected to CQG?

Hi

1- if i pay the 16USD per month fee, what data can i see on Sierra Chart about stocks? for example can i see AAPL stock orderflow? such as ask volume and bid volume?

2- the symbol SPY-NQTV work on which datafeed? the SC DATA all services?

3- when connected to CQG WebAPI woth my CQG log in, how can i remain connected to this data while connecting to data for stocks like AAPL at the same time?
in other words, i want to have on my Sierra chartbook charts of ES futures and AAPL stock at the same time without having to disconnect from CQG WebAPI

Thanks

1. The NASDAQ TotalView exchange has data for equities traded on the NASDAQ and NYSE exchanges. There is Bid and Ask information along with full Market Depth data.

The one thing to be aware of is that this is not the consolidated tape for each instrument, just the primary exchange information. We are working on getting the consolidated tape information.

2. SPY is available with the NASDAQ TotalView exchange. The -NQTV suffix designates the data is from our NASDAQ TotalView exchange, as opposed to our older Sierra Chart U.S. Equities exchange, which does not have Market Depth data.

3. Sierra Chart is setup to allow you to connect to your trading service and get the data from us. So this is not a problem when you are using our data.

Hi

Regarding this that you wrote:

Unquote

Do you mean if i pay the 16usd/month, and connect to CQGWebAPI to chart ES futures, i can still get the data for NASDAQ equities without having to connect to any other data service?

You are correct, the exchange fees are paid for a full month regardless of when in the month you activate it. Therefore, you should wait until the first of next month otherwise you would pay $16.00 for the remaining 6 days of May and then $16.00 again for June.

The NASDAQ TotalView data provides real-time data for NASDAQ, NYSE and AMEX/NYSE Market stocks and ETFs. All of the US equities are included.

There is also full Market Depth information and Bid/Ask information per trade.

Hi
OK, here is a screenshot of the current data i see, this is without the 16USD/month, only with Denali.
As you can see, we can see the Ask/Bid.
The only difference is that there is 1 x 15min candle missing, in other words there is a delay of 15 mins.
So basically 16usd/month is to get live data only, because other than that i can see the Bid/Ask and the DOM.
Can you confirm that 16usd/month is for live data? ( which i find expensive since most platforms charge $2/month like TradingView / Interactive Brokers...etc)

Thanks

Yes, what you are seeing is the delayed data, which is the same data you will get when you pay the $16.00 fee for the real-time data, except that the data will be live.

Hi
About your message above, what do you mean exactly?
you mean the data is not the same data received from NASDAQ?

I have subscribed today for this month to do a test.

Thanks

It means that you will only get the data for the trading done for the instrument on its primary exchange, and not the consolidated information from all exchanges.

Hi

I do have the $16/month data on my account, currently my CQG account is disabled for few days, does that mean i can't get the Nasdaq stocks data or is that a separate thing?

Thank you

You can still access the NASDAQ data.

To access historical and streaming market data independent from your Trading service. Follow these instructions.

Set "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selected Service" to "SC Data-All Services".

Press "OK"

And then translate the symbols in your Chartbooks and Sierra Chart using this "Edit' menu command:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service (Translate Symbols to Current Service)

You can then use the data provided by Sierra Chart independent of your trading service.
