I upgraded to service plan 10 and activated the Nasdaq data feed, but am receiving only delayed data for equities. Here are the steps I took - can you tell me if I am missing something:

Upgraded to service plan 10 via "update and renew now";
Signed the data and non-professional agreements for Nasdaq (both approved);
Activated and paid for Nasdaq data;
Chose Sierrachart as data provider;
Ensured that "allow support for Sierra data feeds" is set to yes;
Updated Global Symbol Settings from Server;
Updated symbol setting for individual charts;

Thanks.

Make sure the symbols are correct.

They need to end with -NQTV like:
GM-NQTV

And actually we do see the problem. You are running an older version of Sierra Chart. You must update to the current version:

Updating alone to the newer version didn't help, but loading the symbol directly from the pull down under Nasdaq Total View did the trick.

Since charts with the old symbols, e.g. SPY, still update on a delayed basis, does this mean both symbols are available through Denali, SPY delayed and SPY-NQTV real time? If so, are these both coming from the same data feed, or is the standard SC feed used for the delayed and NQTV for real time?

Asking because I would rather not re-generate old workspaces that have been saved with the old symbols I used and that I refer to periodically.

Thanks.

Both symbols are available from within Sierra Chart. The symbol without -NQTV uses the old Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed data, whereas the symbol with the -NQTV uses the new Denali Exchange Data Feed data. Since you are not signed up to get the real-time data from the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed, you are getting the delayed data.

The two items are from different sources. The Sierra Chart data is from a 3rd party company called BarChart. The Denali data is our own direct connection to the NASDAQ.

You can keep the old symbols and data by keeping those charts around, but moving forward you will want to use the -NQTV symbols.

Got it. I was under the impression that real time data for equities had migrated to Denali and was no longer available through the SC Exchange, i.e., that I could have signed up to get RT data from SC Exchange. Thanks.

You can no longer sign up for the U.S. Equities under the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed. Those that are already on that feed can stay, but no new connections can be made. That is why the delayed data is still available.
