Hi, I have a few questions;

1) I'm using Symbol (charting with) NQ and have Trade and Current Quote Symbol as MNQ (Use As Trade Only Symbol). If I want to use Global Profit / Loss Management do I need to put .50 in the Currency Value Per Tick to properly represent MN? and then when if I switch to NQ I change it to 5.0?

2) Under what circumstances does the Current Quote Symbol get erased? There have been a couple of instances where I set MNQ as the Trade and Current Quote Symbol and thought I was trading MNQ but later found that I was trading NQ. I have always had MNQ as the Trade and Current Quote Symbol (execution chart, trade windwo, DOM) but sometimes after checking its MNQ is no longer there as the Current Quote Symbol. Does closing and restarting SC ever affect this? Can the settings in charts other than my execution chart, trade window, and DOM affect this?

3) Does anything change with the above when switching from Sim to a Cash account?

4) Is here only one common threshold for Global Profit / Loss Management that get applied to all the accounts?

5) Is there a way to make sure that I am only trading MNQ and never NQ (a filter or symbol limiter) other than changing my Symbol to NQ (the custom chart studies I use are for NQ)

Thank you for your help!

OK I've figured out most of these questions but what I don't understand is this.

With the "Symbol" set as NQ and "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" as MNQ, SC keeps the Currency Value per Tick at 5 if the "Use As Trade Only Symbol" is checked. SC wont let me change the Currency Value per Tick to 0.5 if the "Use As Trade Only Symbol" box is checked. So when I put my Global Loss limit at -100 I get flattened when under 5 points because SC is calculating P/L on the NQ CVPT not the MNQ CVPT. Very confusing because I'm trading MNQ not NQ. To use the Global Profit / Loss I need to put in 10X the number desired. I think it would be better to have the option to put Globe Profit/Loss in points that way it could be clear even if you are using the "Use As Trade Only Symbol" setting.

You can definitely change this and it will remain. It definitely will not change afterwards, so long as you are not changing symbols.

That is not my experience.

I just tried it again and with "Symbol" set as NQ and "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" as MNQ, and the "Use As Trade Only Symbol" is checked, the Currency Value per Tick reverts to 5 every time I set it at 0.5. Close Chart Settings, and open it again, and its back at 5.

Make sure this Chart Setting is disabled:
Chart Settings: Auto Set from Data Feed (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol Settings menu)

Yes, that fixed it. Thanks!

Question: If SC knows that "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" is being used why wouldn't it just fetch the correct "Currency Value per Tick" regardless of the "Auto Set from Data Feed' option? This seems to make sense especially for those using the "Global Profit/Loss Management". Thanks again!

We have looked into this and we see where the issue was and implemented a fix for it.

Changing the Auto Set from Data Feed seemed to fix the problem with my cash account but when I switch back to Sim mode its still trading on full NQ currency value of 5.0 even though I have "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" set at MNQ and the "Currency Value per Tick" at 0.5.
The reason for this is there is going to be one chart for the Symbol and Trade Account which is being used in the Profit/Loss calculation which does not have the right Currency Value Per Tick:

The Daily Net Profit/Loss is calculated separately for each Trade Account being used. A Chart or Trade DOM with the same Symbol and Trade Account as one already listed on the Trade Stats for Charts (Chart Stats) tab, will not be listed on the Trade Stats for Charts tab again unless it has a different Order Fills Start Date-Time for its Trades list. In any case, the Open Profit/Loss and the Daily Profit/Loss values are only counted once per Symbol and Trade Account when the Daily Net Profit/Loss is calculated for a particular Trade Account for the Global Profit/Loss Management.
