1) Add the Volume study to a chart.

Volume

If this is the only study applied to the chart, then this study will be in Chart Region 2.

Chart Studies: Settings and Inputs Tab >> Chart Region

2) Add the Moving Average - Simple study to the same chart.

Moving Average - Simple

In the Settings for this study, set Input Data to Volume, and set Chart Region to 2.

I have attached an image of an example of this.

Hello,

I am not able to add a exponential moving average to volume indicator correctly, it almost seems like it does not sit correctly on volume, usually too far above it. I have played with scaling and it doesn't help. Please compare the screenshots below for the same exponential MA settings.
Thank you

Make sure your Moving Average is based on the Volume study and that the Input is the Volume. Refer to the following for Based On:
Chart Studies: Settings and Inputs Tab >> Based On - Basing a Study on Another Study

Thanks John. I have it set on Volume, but still not getting a correct MA in relation to Volume itself:

Make sure the scale for the Moving Average is set to Same as Region. Refer to the following:

Thank you. Looks like Volume automatically is set on Automatic zero based. I switched that to Auto and set the MA to Same as Region and works great now.
