OEC and SC are a useless combination! I have not gotten this to work since joining OEC about 2 months ago.

I will not renew my SC subscription and I will close my OEC account. Time to move on. I don't have time for jokers.

This is a most unfortunate situation. Nevertheless, you have to do what you need to do.

Having used pretty much every major charting platform out there, I highly recommend you don't throw the baby out with the bath water brother, just get a different broker and life will be good.

Received this from OEC:
"We are migrating the server to another hardware. Network engineers noticed some failures on current one."

We have also done some small SSL code changes on our side and in 1108 we are going to log the low-level heartbeat messages so that I can see from users Message Logs whether the underlying FIX session is functioning properly during the time where the server is not responding to the Logon message. This will also be helpful diagnosing the problem.

As I have posted elsewhere, I am willing to give SC the benefit of doubt in this instance, as SC has worked ok for me with IB and AMP. But as I said elsewhere on this forum, I use the SC/OEC combo, because it appears to be the only way to get tick-accurate data and support for server-side OCO orders, without paying for SC's own data service.

Since these are my requirements, it looks like I may have to move on from SC, unless the disconnection issues can be resolved following the fixes under way at both the SC and OEC end this weekend and early next week.

I certainly appreciate the pro-active and open way SC are communicating with us, whereas OEC are nowhere to be seen or heard.

CTS gives tick accurate data and server side OCO. I've been using them for years.

"because it appears to be the only way to get tick-accurate data"

I don't know about the new FIX connection but the regular OEC connection does NOT provide accurate LIVE bid/ask data. When the market gets moving the data will be off by thousands of contracts. It mixes up the bid and ask. The historical bid/ask data is OK. So if you want good live data you have to constantly delete and reload the live data.

Maybe things are better with the FIX connection but you get what you pay for.

The FIX/FAST connection will not work any different the previous OEC API that was being used in regards to the accuracy of the data. It appears to be very same data feed to us.

without paying for SC's own data service.
If you want accurate data, then consider using the Sierra Chart data feed. Based on what you said, it seems though you do not want to pay for it. It is only 35 USD per month plus exchange fees . The CME the exchange fee is going to drop this week to 4 USD a month for level 1 data.

Therefore, using CQG or CTS T4 are good choices because they also support server-side OCO. If reliability and accuracy are important, the 35 USD should not be a concern to you.
