Using only sierra no broker

Hi, is there a way to use only sierra platform with real data and no broker?
I would like to close my Amp account, and if you provide us with data
i could still pay for sierra and use it for demo purposes and backtest only.
Is that possible ?

You would have to pay for data as a professional which is expensive

HI Thanks for the answer, i had read about that in the past and you just reminded me_
I have come to this conclusion as i am really frustrated about Amp broker, so meanwhile i decide for another broker, i wanted to trade Demo_
My sierra Log on is disabled and i have done nothing wrong_
At Amp they just cut off people with no chances to understand why they do that_
Sierra account now says to contact your Fcm...
When i contact Amp you get Robot answers, it makes you wait more than an hour displaying 2 persons in the queue, then after 30 mins displays only one person in the queue, but not getting to speak to anyone_
When i asked how long was there to wait, all you get is a funny smile as you can see from screenshot_

Why do you need real-time data? I am on Sim only and use delayed data for Only $26 a month.

Maybe delayed data only could do the job, at the moment i have package 11 which used to be package 5, and Denali_
If getting delayed data i just cannot figure out how things will change, what to keep and what not to keep.
Perhaps an engineer could direct me on this too Thanks_

to deeply understand the sierra terminology for the various step to take.
I know the Platforms quite well, but when it comes to options to choose I'm a bit confused by terminology and long readings_
It was not my choice but was directed to choose this as i didnt know at the time_ My fault anyway

Yes definitely. Easiest way is with Delayed data. Let us know if that is what you want. Regarding real-time data, refer to:

Real-Time Data

For now use the Delayed Exchange Data Feed:

Let us know if you just want to use the delayed data and we will change your service package to a lower package which is all that is needed.

Yes this is true and this is one reason why we want to manage everything ourselves and not have any broker in the middle of it and eliminate confusion and give users a proper quality solution with our own data feeds.

OK i have now deleted my Amp account, Yes pls i would like Delayed Data, then later in future will see if/which broker etc.

You are good until April 24, 2021 to continue to get the real-time data from the Denali Exchange Data Feed. That is the date to which you are validated as Non-Professional.

Therefore, there is no rush to change to the Delayed data, unless you want to. You have also already paid for the real-time data for the remainder of this month (April).

In order to deactivate the Denali Exchange Data Feed, follow the instructions here:

Sir thank you for explaining, yes i saw my account paid till 24th, however Amp seem to have power on all this, and i am still not able to connect ...
I cannot believe that i am paying not to be able to log in while I'm having live data_
How can be possibly be unlocked... Today i asked for funds withdraws, and clicked the box to close account too, so i have no idea of who is going to unblock this situation_ I hope you can, bless you

Thinking well even if I'm still paid for live data, by not having a broker anymore i cannot connect to it anyway...
There is now only left 42usd and with amp it needs 100, so won't be able to use the live data_
Hence if that is the case, never mind the money paid, it is done now, does it mean i should just switch to delayed, am i correct?

You have already paid for the live data and it is available to you until April 24, 2021, regardless of your connection to a broker, as we check your account one month in advance. In other words, the last time you connected to your AMP account with Sierra Chart was on March 24, 2021.

You should not have any problems getting into Sierra Chart. You may need to change your Current Selected Service to SC Data - All Services if your AMP account is no longer valid, as you may be setup to connect to CQG. Refer to the following:
Data/Trade Service Settings: Current Selected Service (Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Main Settings >> Service)

After you change your service, you will want to open your Chartbooks and select Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service in order to update the symbols to the current service selection.

That's amazing, changed to SC Data, All Services, and didn't even had to go to Edit, as Magic Sierra converted all symbols_
Will have a read now of that link.. Hope to learn more

HI some advises pls_
I have switched to Sierra 10min delayed data, however i cannot do proper Backtesting and replay charts_
I can Replay with the data from years ago when i Use Daily data (Historical Chart) selected, however i cannot go more than Oct 2020 when i am on 240 min chart_
I read some instructions and clicked to edit> download data / adjust data etc... but i get the same results- No enough data on 60mins/240mins_
How could i solve this now ? Thank you

Also on my account i happened to click and cleared affiliation with Amp as i didn't need it anymore, but i get a message saying that now i dont have an affiliation with exchange and cannot use package 11? why is that ? message disappeared quickly so can re-read it again properly_

oh yes i know what you mean_ i have set it to 500 days to make sure
i think it's a sierra think to limit history, as i can see Daily replay chart won't work and there is a message saying this too_
It works on all other Tfs but not Daily_ Not sure if there is the need to purchase data etc ...
Instructions are not clear, or at least not enough to me_

First. make sure your File >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selected Service is set to SC Data - All Services. You need to have this, since you do not have a trading account to connect to.

Second, on that same window as above, select the tab for Common Settings and ensure that the option for Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds is set to Yes.

And finally, open your Chartbooks and select Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service. Since you are changing your service above, you need to update your symbols to the current service you have selected.

Let us know if you have any issue after that. You should be getting the 10 minutes delayed data from the CME Group.

Hi Thanks for the answer ..
I have those enabled from already a month or so, since your last answer when you helped me
some time ago_ It all worked well but ...

Problem is different here atm
It is not possible to Replay and backtest on Daily Charts, only Intraday
Hence this way not possible to backtest and Using Replay on 2 time frames for example_
If i want to use the Daily and the H4 not possible
Also loading daily charts takes long time

Did all that so many attempts and i failed every time_
I might become like Thomas A. Edison here failing 3,999 times and get it at the last time? I am exhausted_

Sierra Chart will request historical Intraday data up to the number of days specified
Did that and specified dates from 2018, but all i get is from Oct 2020_
Tried to delete all data and download again_ No
Tried Adjust all data, with specified date time .. No
Adjusted Values Main setting common settings ..No
Works and i get data from 2018, on a daily chart, but not on H4 chart 240 mins
