I am a transact futures customer. They have just changed to have sierra charts billed directly thru sierra chart. How can I now create charts for stocks or ETF's since I am paying for that ability. I do not want to trade these through transact since I know that is not possible. I just want to use the service that I am paying for and I know this is possible.

Thanks,

Bob

Yes, you have those abilities now. In order to open a chart for a Stock, you just type in the name of the stock on the Find Symbol page. Refer to the fourth paragraph in the following:
File Menu: Find Symbol (File)

Keep in mind, this will give you the Historical data that we have available, so it will be delayed by at least 15 minutes and will only update at most every 20 minutes. Refer to the following:
Sierra Chart Historical Data Service

If you want access to Real-Time data, then you would use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed and activate the U.S. Equities exchange. Refer to the information at the following link, which also includes Setup Instructions:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

Hi John,

Thanks for the response.

I was only able to create a simple historical chart with no indicators or options. If I want to duplicate the charts I have built for futures, I would need the sierra chart exchange data feed?

Would I need to switch to the Denali data feed to do this or can I keep whatever data feed I have now to retain my ability to trade futures?

Thank you.

You definitely do not have to have the Real-Time data if you are fine without it. It should not make any difference in terms of the indicators you can place.

And you can duplicate the Futures chart and change the symbol to a stock symbol if you like. There is nothing stopping that. Just keep in mind that the Stock data from Sierra Chart does not have Level 2 Market Depth, so if you were using that data for some indicators, then those would not work with the stocks just due to that fact.

Again, you do not need to make any change to the data to be able to use the features of Sierra Chart. You would only need the Real-Time data if you just need Real-Time data and can not work with the delayed data.
