When I bring up my Chart Values/Crosshair,I get a drop down menu on top of my charts. How do I get rid of the drop down?

What are you doing to bring up the Chart Values tool?

I click on the Chart Values/crosshair button located in the tool bar at the top of the screen.

I click on the tool bar, move the cursor back to the chart, click it and the cross hair comes up. With it comes a drop down that says:
y 1177.4
2014-01-23 10:01:0
Net Chg -0.3
Open 11700
High 1170.6
Low 1169.6
Last 1169.6
Volume 635
I left click again. the crosshair and the drop down disappear.

We think we understand. What we recommend using is Window >> Tool Values Window. When that window is open , it displays the values for the Chart Values Tool and will remain unless manually closed.
