We want to make a correction. We said that you may notice less of a problem with CQG.

Actually that is not really true thinking about this some more. With the Denali Exchange Data Feed, there is going to be a much faster detection of a connectivity problem and a faster reconnection as compared to CQG.

Hi guys,

I wasn't sure where else to post so just thought I would do it here. I just renewed my Sierra access for the month (paid via Paypal yesterday), but now can't seem to connect to the data feed. It just errors out and tells me to contact customer support for assistance.

Is this due to the introduction of the Denali feed this month? How do I revert this back to the CQG feed and get the connection to work again? Note I have clicked the link above and the Denali feed is disabled in my settings, but I still can't connect to the CQG feed that I had used prior.

Thanks in advance.

Mitch

That error message is coming from CQG. Their server is just not available over the weekend. Sierra Chart provided services, have no interruption over the weekend:

Another reason to switch away from CQG.

Hi Team,

Just a few quick questions following up on this and I am out of your hair (at least for a while). I am going to disable all CQG services/subscriptions with Tradovate and activate the Denali feed again for execution/routing. As an aside from the connectivity issues, I've been getting stopped below bar lows as well, which is puzzling, so keen to move away from CQG ASAP as I assume it is a data feed issue.

Could you guys just quickly let me know what I need to do to get this going again? I am 90% sure of what I need to do, but want to make sure I get it right, as am cancelling all CQG related stuff today, and would be great to get a seamless transfer to Denali for execution / routing all in one go.

Also, as an FYI re the connection issues above, I am going to set up Sierra on a VPS service and execute from there. Any internet disruptions on my end (which appear to be super short lived but enough to disconnect me from Sierra) should become a non-issue.

Final question, am I able to run an instance of SC on my home computer for analysis/research, and an instance on the VPS for execution without paying double data fees?

Thanks again... really appreciate the high level of service from you guys.

Cheers,
Mitch

Hi,

Yes if you are receiving incomplete data, this would be a data feed issue, but we have not known the CQG data feed to have this problem.

At this time, as you might know Tradovate does not support the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service.

See item #2 in the link below for a list of the Brokers / Clearing Firms that support TTFIX service.

Yes you can but if you are using both at the same time only one can receive delayed data unless you pay the exchange fee twice. Instructions to use delayed data:
