Request for Quantity NOT to be saved as part of TW configuration

I think this is very important to be done. Just yesterday I wanted to change my stop to a 'move to BE' one. I canceled all orders and resent them with the 'move to BE' configuration. The configuration had been saved from ages ago with double the position. This resulted in an opposite GC position (when the target was hit) with no stop loss! Luckily (very luckily) I got a 100 ticks in my favor in just a few seconds due to the fat finger GC trade yesterday, but that is besides the point. Can this please be changed, so the quantity remains the one chosen before a new configuration is selected?

Related to the above point, can it become possible to change the logic of the live orders (e.g. I now want to have a BE trigger whereas I had only submitted simple OCO orders) without canceling them (thus being unprotected even for a second) and entering new ones (thus losing our place in the order queue)? Not sure how difficult that may be, so I am just asking.

Thanks!

If you make these changes, please also consider the following suggestion which can make the attached orders logic much more powerful:

Instead of determining the quantity for the target(s) and stop-loss, we should be able determine the percentage of the position to be closed at each target. For example, close 75% at first target and leave the rest until 2nd target or BE. This removes the need for user calculations (and possible errors) in the heat of trading, if for some reason he changes his mind on the initial quantities. The % closed at each target, if the calculated quantity is not an integer (e.g. we have 3 CL contracts, and we choose 50% for Target 1 and 2) can be rounded based on: a) maximum profit locking (exit 2 contracts at first target), or b) maximum profit potential (exit 1 at first target, hold more for the second).

The above logic can lead to other interesting configurations, where quantity determination (and the fat finger errors that go with it) will matter less, for example: 'flatten-like' button that will Close half of the open position.

I hope the above makes sense, I think it's a direction worth following.

Thanks.

In the next release, the order quantity will be preserved when changing between different Trade Window configuration files.

No, this is not possible:

Upon further testing of this, the quantity needs to be set to what it was saved to with the Trade Window Configuration file when it is selected. It needs to be that way, otherwise it can affect the Attached Order quantities and ratios and cause those to be unexpectedly changed.

So we cannot implement this request. We will have to think about this.
