I am new to SC and am struggling to figure it out. I like the tools they offer otherwise I'd be done with them by now. I don't like there's no number where I can talk to support and walk me through issues I'm having.

I finally figured the real time data out and now I'm only getting currency futures and bond data from 11-4 to present? Can anyone offer any solution to this problem? Thanks

In regards to the starting time for historical data, the particular data feed you are using is new and we state on this page that the historical data is limited:

http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#SetupInstructions

We are working on increasing it.

Note: At this time there is limited historical Intraday data available with this data feed. Full historical data is expected to be released by November 15, 2013.

I just had all the info up just fine. It was when I switched to the td ameritrade and the futures contracts to /6A and so on that I had a problem? Why would that stop me from being able to see the data I just had up?

I dont understand why this has to go through td? I paid for the CME data, isnt that enough? Im not trying to trade from SC. Im just using the tools. I mean I just had past info as far back as I wanted. I can get it on some symbols and not on others???? why?

Sierra Chart supports various sources of historical data. The particular CME data feed you are using, has limited historical data at this time. We are working on increasing it.

It is not enough just to pay for the CME data feed, the CME also charges substantial exchange fees per month unless you have a funded trading account and it is necessary for Sierra Chart actually connect to your TD Ameritrade account, to confirm that you do have a trading account.

The historical data, is not provided by TD Ameritrade. It is provided by us. So it is not TD Ameritrade preventing you from getting it.

Let me start over. All I want to to use SC for the charts and studies. I thought the CME data gave me that. It doesnt matter to me who the feed comes from. What is my best option for a real time data feed with charts that go back more than 10 days? Im only getting 10 days of charts with the feed I currently have, which is TD ameritrade. Which confuses me, why does it matter my TD account or not when I purchased the CME data? Is it as simple as Im logging on with the wrong service provider in the drop down list?

All I want is to pay for the service package and real time data per month to SC. (which is what I thought I did). Forget I even have a TD account. Whats the best solution for data feed that gives more than 10 days back?
Thank you

Historical data should be ready by tomorrow morning. Refer to post #2 above.

Update Sierra Chart by selecting Help >> Download Prerelease.

The problem with the TD Ameritrade streamer you have been experiencing has been resolved because we no longer start the TD Ameritrade streamer if there are no symbols to request market data for. We worked on this last night for you.

In regards to the Japanese Yen and Mexican peso prices that you see when looking at a Historical Daily chart, there are invalid values from the CME and we are looking into this.

After the software update, open new charts for those symbols and if the last bar does not look correct, disable Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings >> Allow Real-Time Updating of Historical Chart. This will solve it.

We discovered the source of the problem with the invalid current daily prices for the Japanese yen and Mexican peso. This will be resolved by morning.

If you have any trouble receiving the streaming real-time data, we can call you and get that resolved for you. This is no problem.

We have now loaded in full historical data for all of the CME symbols.

Go to your Intraday charts and select Edit >> Delete All Data and Download.

We have added additional usage time to your account to make up for the time there was not complete historical data available.

Also make sure you have updated Sierra Chart with Help >> Download Prerelease.

If you need further help, let us know and we can contact you using remote assistance.

If you do not want to continue to use the data feed, this is fine. We just wanted to make sure we got everything working properly for you. Your account has plenty of usage time if you ever change your mind.

I appreciate all the work to get things right. When I was trying to activate this and get it straightened out my other account with trans act made me a deal I couldn't turn down. Is there any way to get a refund for the charting package? I know the CME is non refundable. I would be grateful if you could make this happen. Thanks, Rob Miller

I am a TD Ameritrade account holder. Do I still need to purchase the SC software? I can get in but it seems I am under my trial period. How do I make my access permanent?

I have noticed I was never refunded the credit time I purchased? I was told I would be, it would just take a little bit to process. Instead of a refund, could you put it to my account? I have an account with Trans Act. I have no market profile right now and I would like to test it. Can you put the remainder of the money towards my Trans Act account so I can test market profile to see if it would benefit me to subscribe for it? Thanks

We are checking on the refund. If it was not done, it was only an oversight and not intentional. The transaction log does not show the refund was made, and we will see what happened. We see the payment was through PayPal so it should have been refunded to the PayPal account.

What we can do is add usage time to the account you have logged into this Support Board with. We have no access to your brokerage account.

We have added 20 days of usage time at package 5 to your own Sierra Chart account.

You should have a copy of Sierra Chart on your system at C:\SierraChart\SierraChart.exe. Run that copy of Sierra Chart. Log into it using the same Account Name you have used on this Support Board.

Update it with Help >> Download Current Version.

Set it up to work with TransAct according to the instructions here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/TransAct.php#SetupInstructions
