The price of 31.20 comes from the Ameritrade system. So what you see is based on the data provided by them.

This help topic explains what you are describing in this support request:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails12.html#h12.3

Please explain how a chart can show the most recent price at the current moment in time and at the same time also show the official settlement price for the last bar? Obviously you cannot have both. Historical charts have no way to filter out data based upon time.

So the solution is to have 2 charts. One chart with Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings >>Allow Real-Time Updating of Historical Chart enabled and another one without it enabled.

In the case of Intraday charts, the price scale will always show the most recent price regardless of what the Session Times are set to. This is by design so that you are aware of the most recent price.

We have nothing further to offer here.

The way that Sierra Chart handles market data is done properly. Historical charts do not have the capability to filter data based on Session Times. This is not reasonably possible for various technical and practical reasons. It sounds like these other programs you are referring to, do not update Historical charts in real-time.

Anyway, you look at things different, and we simply do not have an agreement here and our recommendation is to use another program. We cannot spend further time on this. Your position is not viewed as reasonable to support.

The only other thing you can do, is to have a new chart bar start at the beginning of the evening session and this is documented in help topic 12.6 here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails12.html#h12.6

We did not mention this previously, because it sounds as though you would not be happy with this either because you do not want to see any evening trading at all in the chart. The only way to control this, is to contact the data provider and tell them to exclude evening data from the chart bars. And Sierra Chart does have the ability to exclude all real-time data from a Historical chart. You are already aware of that option.

Assuming 12.6 would be helpful to you:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails12.html#h12.6

Please know that we have set up all of the session times for TD Ameritrade stocks so you do not have to do that. So a new bar in Historical Daily charts will appear at 16:00 New York time assuming there is trading that occurs at that time or after. However , it does not sound as though this is what you want.
