From user:
I have the Rithmic data feed, and I haven't been able to download some of the later versions of SC without having connection problems...as in no connection. The latest version that works for me is 976.

I keep getting the message: "Windows Error code 10061. No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it."

I don't know if this relates to this Protocol for SC Engineering or not, but I still can't connect with the latest versions of SC.

This is completely unrelated to the new GSP protocol.

We see that you are using an operating system that Rithmic does not support any longer. Rithmic discontinued support for XP and server 2003 more than a year ago. Previously we were using unsupported library files from Rithmic and with the bridge program that we developed, we are using the current supported libraries. So you will need to update to Windows 7. For now just use a previous version of Sierra Chart.

One good thing about GSP, is that if Rithmic were to implement it themselves, this would not even be a problem. It is not specific to any operating system.

We are going to use the unsupported XP libraries from Rithmic. We want to continue to maintain support for XP when using Rithmic. We had another user have a problem as well.

We do not know why Rithmic does not want to support XP any longer. At least they do make those libraries still available.

Will put out a new release in about 2 hours.
