backtest with sc spreadsheet

I use IQfeed for data. When backtesting with a spreadsheet system for trading, why row 3 contains old static data while row 4 and over are working normally? This causes me problems since I won't be able to bacttest with exact data. This only happens after markets are closed. It will go back to normal on next morning. I use future data (only TF or Russell) from Infinity but the rest comes from IQfeeed.

Thanks in advance,

Dan

This makes absolutely no sense. Row 3 will always indicate the data For the most recent bar the chart. Make sure you are looking at the correct Sheet in the Spreadsheet. The data will match the most recent bar the chart. We cannot even imagine why there would be a problem with this. Never have heard about such a thing.

Thanks for confirming with me it makes no sense! Now take a look to right part of row 3 and compare it with other rows...

OK, this is a very complex to set up. It's hard for us to get an understanding of it unless we were to have your Chartbook. We thought you are referring to the main chart data in columns A through G. With the particular cells you referring to, what does the chart show at the last bar for those studies?

There are literally millions of ways people can use Sierra Chart and millions of potential "Issues" people can create for themselves. There's no way from your original post that we have an idea of what you were doing. And still we don't have sufficient information to really know exactly the details of what you are doing and why you see what you do. This is what makes these kinds of threads, exceptionally hard for us. In cases like this it is best that we explain how what you are working with works and then for you to make your own determinations as to why you see what you do.

The studies that you are having an issue with, what specifically are they, and does the data in the Spreadsheet match what you see on the chart? You can use the Tools >> Chart Values tool and Window >>Tool Values Window to look at the data.

This problem only occurs with the sierra chart using or connected to data coming from atchart from infinity. To solve the problem, I code everything by refering to row 4. And I don't need to code by referring to row 4 when in atchart from infinity.

the problem I now experience is I don't get the the activity log on my sierra chart which receives data from iqfeed and infinity. This log is although available on Infinity atcharts.

Are you referring to Trade >> Trade Activity Log?

Are you saying it does not display when you select that command.

yes, only zeros, no totals. Although everything works fine with the infinity atchart system in backtest. This is why I'm mentioning it doesn't appear with the SC that uses iqfeed for data and Russell futures from infinity

We need more specific information. Specifically what field is zero and on what tab of the Trade Activity Log?

So you are saying you want to look at data in the Trade Activity log from a Replay and just see zeros?

Make sure he the settings at the top of the Trade >> Trade Activity Log are correct. Make sure you have the proper Symbol selected. And make sure you select Replay/BackTest.

Did you restart Sierra Chart after the back test? If so, that data may not have been saved based upon a setting in Global Settings >> General Trade Settings.

i did all this before writing to support. I'm now in version 1019. As i wrote, no problem when using infinity atcharts which only uses its own data, which is not the case with my other sc which is connected to iqfeed and infinity.

Please confirm if you are looking to see order and fill activity from Replays?

Tell us what the settings are at the top of the Trade >> Trade Activity Log. Or attach an image of it here.

You should have no trouble with this at all.
