Sierra Chart does have the McClellan oscillator. Here is the documentation:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_TechnicalStudiesReference.html#s176

You will need Sierra Chart package 3. See this page for pricing:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/Packages.php

Can I use my IB data to run this indicator and chart it properly?
Yes but you are far far far better off using the market statistics data that is included with package 3 for this. It is hugely more reliable than Interactive Brokers. The symbol to use is $NSHF .

Hi there

I purchased package 3. I need help setting up this indicator. The documentation on it confuses me completely. Since I am with IB all I want to do is open a $SPX chart and ad the McClellan Oscillator to it. Do I have to therefore open a chart for $SPX in IB and then open the McClellan indicator in Sierra Charts separately, reduce both windows so they fir underneath each other????

OR

Can I open $SPX in Sierra Charts and ad the McClellan indicator to that (which I am unable to do at the moment)? This will have the $SPX and McClellan indicator on one window. (Preferable)

You mentioned using the data included in my package 3 for this indicator. Can I open $SPX with this data also? I obviously want the best data to use the indicator with and would prefer the $SPX and indicator on one page that will change together if I need to change the time frame.

What is $NSHF exactly? And how will get what I want on one window? Currently I can open $NSHF but only on time frames lesser than a day and not on a daily timeframe?

Could someone do a remote session with me in order to set up this window the way I want it please? I need it asap as I want to trade tomorrows market open US but would like to see it today if at all possible?

Regards
R Krugel

$NSHF is advancing NYSE issues minus declining NYSE issues, or net advancing issues.

Look at the McClellan Oscillator - 1 chart study. Read the documentation, it is pretty clear.

In response to post #5 there is a problem with Historical Daily charts in their particular case we need to resolve. We will follow up on this.

Please update Sierra Chart by selecting Help >> Download Current Version. We have released a new version that you need.

Open a Historical chart for $NSHF. This is done through File >> Find Symbol. This symbol is in the Market Stats section.

Add the McClellan Oscillator - 1 Chart study to that chart.

We have prepared a Chartbook which is configured the way that you require. It is attached. Save it to your Sierra Chart Data folder. The location of this folder can be determined through Global Settings >> General Settings >> Data Files Folder. The Chartbook can be open through File >> Open Chartbook.

Remote assistance is an extra charge and is .58 USD per minute. And it has to be scheduled.
